Big N WV, I was born and raised here in Fayetteville. I joined the AF and left for 13 yrs. I spent 5 yrs in New Mexico, 2 yrs in Turkey, 5 yrs in Oklahoma. We missed the East Coast, NC, something fierce, got tired of dry flat land. We missed the lakes, ocean, trees, real trees, lol, and green grass. So I applied and got stationed back here in NC for last 8 yrs of my service. I'm retired now with 21 yrs service. Fayetteville is a big military town and I can see how it seems that way, (I only ask because that seems to be the only people from Fayetteville).
I enjoy using the base gyms. They are motivating, a lot younger active duty crowd, and a lot of the special forces guys are here, and they are in shape.

That's cool, it just seems like everyone I've ever encountered that's from Fayetteville was in the military. I know there's regular civilians there too obviously, just thought I'd ask. It's been a long time since I was there, but it was always fun to come visit when my aunt lived there
