Why Poptarts are popular in Bodybuilding
<figure class="entry-image" style="margin: 2.625px 0px 15.8125px; padding: 0px; line-height: 0; color: rgb(115, 115, 115); font-family: Lato, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"></figure>Pop Tarts are a relatively cheap and delicious source of carbs and calories, which are important when bulking and especially after a workout.
They’re also conveniently packaged. When bulking, calories (and of course protein) are king. In general, the only diets that get widely publicized are for “cutting”, as that’s what the average person thinks they want to do.
If you follow around a bulking bodybuilder you might find that they eat things that don’t necessarily conform to common sports nutrition recommendations.
The other scenario when a bodybuilder might scarf down a few pastries would be immediately pre competition when it’s common to carb-up and sodium load, which is partly an application of osmotic pressure principles in order to maximize vascularity and make the muscles “pop”.
The first Pop Tarts came out in four different flavors: strawberry, blueberry, brown sugar cinnamon, and apple currant. Today, there are a wide variety of Pop Tart flavors, including Chocolate Chip, S’mores, Raspberry, French Toast and Mint Chocolate Chip.
The most popular Poptarts flavors in Bodybuilding are S’more Pop Tarts and Brown Sugar Cinnamon.

I admit I love a poptart after a workout! Then a little gatorade with bcaa's, creatine, glutamine. Then igf. Then protein.
