My wife is 46, but looks about 36. She has always been natural, but has always been in better shape than most figure girls in the mags. The last couple of years, she has been losing muscle. We thought it was age.

Lately, her energy level has been very low. She decided to go get some tests. It came back that she has a testosterone level of zero. I want to understand whats going on, whether it's the leydigs, LH, hypo, whatever. The doctor says that hrt on women is not well understood and doesn't want to go down that route. He is an idiot.

We are looking for other doctors that are more understanding. We are battling with trying to understand the root cause or starting hrt with a doctor to be found or even as me as the doctor if one can not be found. Does anybody have any experience with this?

No experience on my end bro sorry. What's a women suppose to be at?

Testosterone in women come from the ovaries and the adrenal glad, very little is produced though, but little burst thorough out the day. All the levels for women start dropping at 40-55, average menopause age being 51. Testosterone replacement in women is rough for their cardiovascular system, as their HDL/LDL level go towards the negative side pretty fast, that's what concerns most doctors. IGF-1 may be something to look into, to maintain muscles and bone density. But def get a good endocrinologist to talk to and weigh out your risks to benefits.

nice info brutha! getting old sucks donkey balls!

yea getting old does suck "donkey balls", the foods i used to enjoy rip my stomach up and make me fart all day and my rib cage feel if they are pushed out from the inside from the bloat. i to am on hrt, probably self induced by stupid mistakes. on and end note what monkeywrench "The Mad Scientist" said is spot on, an endo is your best option. Research as much as possible to be prepaired and know what to talk about with the dr, they like to sway people into their method of treatment, knowing what you are talking about with him or her should get you what treatment is best for your wife and not letting the dr turn her into a science project.

The sad part is that it was an endocrinologist that tested her. We are looking for a more knowledgable one now.

Yeah I would search one out that's more liberal with hrt and another option is a rejuvenation dr. , plastic surgeons ect as they right these scripts out by me and its expensive but worth it! And your going to wanna keep it legal when it comes to your wife I'm sure! Good luck bro and did you google hrt doctors in ur area?

Yeah, we googled the local hrt doctors in the area. Hopefully, we can get somewhere next week.
