Will the seasonal gym rats ever leave?

Arrgh! I know it's those kind of people that make the money for the gym, but they annoy me so badly! A dumb kid says to me, "Dude, how did you get your arms so big?" Like they think I got this way overnight, you know? But I tell them I worked my ass off in the gym every week for years, and they walk away with a sort of disappointed look on their face. Well, what did you think, kid? Do the muscles just magically appear? NO! It takes a lot of hard work. Grrr...
 
I used to say, "I play a lot of tennis", then walk away. Have fun with it bro. Tell em
something like - 20 set of 20 every day for three weeks then 1 week off. Or 1 set of
1 once a week, so you wont overtrain. (wouldn't it be a bitch if that worked and
their arms got bigger then yours - lol)
 
Should have told him you just don't know cause you just started working out.LOL

I also love it when people ask me if I work out.LOL I just tell them I picked up a weight once, but it was really heavy, so I put it back down:cool:
 
they havent left my gym yet, actualy seeing more and more kids latly and im not to happy about it, plus i hate being stared at

lol i hear ya man i had a kid ask me last year how i got my deads so strong i was only doing like 385 for reps. I told him plenty of bicep curls put my headphones back on and turned the other way.

I always laughed when there was an explosion of new faces for the first couple months of the year, and slowly but surely after a few months those New Years Resolutions didn't seem so important anymore. lol
 
as the years go by, americans will soon relieze that exercise is a staple for life. as much as i dnt like too many "know it alls" lurking around my gym, its good to see people young and old pushing themselves for a better tomorrow.

i am a trainer so i think i just got alittle mushey on that one ...
 
That is the benefit to working out at the house. Then again the downside is no phantom spotters when I drop 225 on my chest after five sets and try to get one more rep. I also don't get someone else's sweat on my body constantly. Then again I paid 500 dollars for all my dumbells, 150 for my olympic set plus a few more 25s and can't do incline dumbell presses cause I don't have enough weight. Im joining a gym tomorrow. LOL
 
if you go to a big gym its awesome theres bitches everywhere but at my tiny hole in the wall gym im usually the only or like only other person lifting weights. Its cardio or curls in the squatrack for most of the fucks that go there.
 
There is only one gym where I live and its a rehab center so as you can imagine the chick there have had knee and hip replacements. Nothing against older ladies but Im not into aged Cougars. LOL

I got like a 2 thousand dollar gym setup at home - full squat cage, dumbbells from 3 to 75lb and a 600lb olympic weight setup. I hardly ever use it though. Usually only on hoildays and stuff when the gym is closed.
 
me personally i love the slobs that want to monopolize a machine with those 200 reps sets-1 hr later they are still on the machine not even breaking a sweat.

the other day i went to work legs and some dickhead was on the leg press machine...had over 1000lbs on it-sat down moved the weight 2 inches up and 2 inches down for 4 reps.
then he went over to the benchs, sat down and watched fucking TV for 10 mins and repeated this. After about 30min of waiting and the ECA was kicking in I realized that this fuck was never going to get off so I worked shoulders instead:angry:
