I've tried to work out with the iPod and headphones, but I find they get in the way of what I'm trying to do. How do you guys keep them from getting tangled up or falling out of your ears? I'm thinking of investing in a pair of those wireless headphones so there's no cord to get in the way, but I'm not sure I want to spend the money.

I use the headphones that sit on your ear independently not the ones that stick in your ear. the cord on mine are pretty long the only time it really gets in my way is on chest when i sit the weight on my knees. I usually wrap the wire around my mp3 player so its not dangling around and then put it in my pocket. usually works pretty good. Never used wireless they would be nice but how high are they?
you can also get the behind the neck mp3 players i havent seen them in a few years im sure theres some still around though.

i just started using headphones at the gym and i have a case that holds my mp3 player on my arm and it has a long headphone cord...hasnt got in the way yet but ive only used it twice...back day and bi day.....let ya know how it works out on chest day ...

I bought my Sony Headphones at Best Buy, they comes with a hoock and i have never have a problem and i put my ipod in my shorts pocket

I run the wire between my shirt and my body and keep my iPhone in my pocket. The cord stays pretty much out of the way. I also use a heart rate monitor that uses a chest strap so I run the wire under the strap and that pretty much keeps it from having the earphones pulled out of my ears. The next update for the iPhone will support stereo bluetooth so I might just buy some wireless one, but for now what I do works pretty well.

never had a problem. Just use the ones that go into your ears. Little trick is to put velcro on your weight belt and mp3. That way you can easily make changes. Usually when i do back i flip the wires so they go behind me, most everything else in front.

I do just what crg does - run the headphones in between my shirt and body. They have never gotten in the way doing this and if I want them out to talk to someone they just hand down from my shirt collar.

I do the same.

hey b2c- id expect you'd have more problems given the kind of stuff you do..... explains the wire in the shirt idea.

cnt do it man, wire always getting in my way some how. things like that throw me off.

Everytime I read a post by Heinz I imagine him sounding like Arnold. LOL. I know you don't bro but my mind is really screwed up. I don't have to worry about this because I workout at the house and put xm radio on and blast it. I use to do the wire under the shirt thing. I do that when I speak if they don't have a wireless as well. You could clip it to your hip and run the cords up your back and into your ears from behind. Worked for me. Please don't come kill me Heinz, Im a little. As in no room for the littles. LOL

I roll the wire about the damn mp3 player and stick it between my boobs... guess you guys can't get away with that though, lol.

It's annoying... wireless definitely sounds like a great idea. I'm always fighting with the damn ear buds to keep them in my ears too!

my only concern with wireless would be the lack of enough volume. I sometimes max out my mp3 player cause the gym is so loud and blue tooth tends to kill some volume IMHO.
