Just wondering if anyone else hits just one muscle group each workout....im trying a different approach this time for me ....im focusing on just one muscle group each workout compared to before i used to hit one major muscle group and then one small muscle group each workout....im thinking this way ill be putting all my energy into blasting the muscle group......what u guys think
 
I would love to try that type of workout, but I'm usually too busy these days. I'm just glad I can get in at least three days a week, so I do the DC training routine.

My thoughts about hitting one muscle group is to make sure you don't overtrain. You tend to put in a lot of volume in this type of workout, so you have to know when to stop.
 
true on that....i try and do three diff exercise for the muscle group im working.......i feel the advantage is i get to put all my energy into that body part and so far i like the results......i have been trying this for two weeks and i get great pumps and getting that sore feeling in the muscle a day or so later
 
Kinda what I do...I like having to just focus on one muscle group at a time (not counting doing abs with it) So my schedule goes something like this ...

Mon - Quads
Tues - Delts
Wend - Back
Thurs - Arms
Fri - Hams
Sat - Chest
Sun - off or some extra calf/ab or arm work
