Do you remember when you first got started in Bodybuiding, and after a year or two..You thought you had this crazy sport all figured out ? I know when I was in my early twenty's I thought I knew it all about building muscle, and getting lean...as time went on, I figured out I knew nothing about it, and I learn something new everyday now ...

Yeah I wish I knew then what I know now for sure! I would have did things a little different, only thing i miss from my early twenties is my intensity was a little higher. I would litterly be in bed at night thinking about the next days workout and what i was going to do and i couldnt wait to get to sleep and get back in the gym the next day, lol, sounds insane but its true!

The only thing I know for sure is that I know very little! I am in my mid twenties and know better than to think I have anything figured out. Some things I think can be assumed to be pretty true for most people though (e.g. overtraining, under eating, etc). But yeah, I think there was a point where I thought I knew a lot--now I'm not as stupid to think such a thing

My biggest regret is not starting in my teen years. I have often wondered how much we set our genetic limits by not working out in our teen years. If you think about it your growth plates are open, your hormone levels are through the roof, so who says that this doesn't have something to do with your muscular destiny.

Chris, the funny thing is talk is just talk. Everyone is diff and everything is personal trial and error. Personally I need to study nutrition and dieting info more than chemical compounds. We all are our own guinea pigs!!! Show me one big MF'r that doesnt experiment with his own body with chems and diets and training routines...... funny thing is that you cant. Thats why the learning curve for this sport takes so long, trial and error and repeat, sooner or later we will all catch on.

^ ^ ^ True, the learning curve is a long one. Unfortunately, it is a lot longer for some of us. I wish I had been able to progress in my teen years. I had no idea my hormones were truly out of whack until I turned 30. Even if I had known in my early twenties, that would have been better, too.
