After reading a lot about orals lately, I've started seeing more and more posts about liver toxicity. I understand every oral is different and some are more harsh than others.....but.....Is liver toxicity from orals over exagerrated? I know it's better to be safe then sorry and over prepare and over protect when it comes to your health. But I have never had abnormal enzymes in my entire life. I remember being in college and taking M1T, drinking once or twice a week on top of that, no protectant whatsoever, and still no problems. Is everyone different when it comes to sensitivity to certain things? Your thoughts.

My problem with all the "Liver" studies regarding steroids is that there are no comparisons made. I've been on steroids and sometimes orals for years!!! I never had elevated liver enzymes. 2 of my blood tests were while I was taking 50mg of winstrol a day, the other 40mg of dbol. Enzyme levels were always fine. The ONE time I had elevated liver enzymes was when I had a blood test the afternoon aftere having a few shots. I'll stick with my orals amd avoid alcohol. Screw what the retard researchers say, I want real world data, and I got it. M1T here I come.... along with 1g of test and 50mcg of IGF!!

i think you should still take supplements to help your liver/kidneys recover. Regardless if your on or off gear.

X2

IMO they are a little exaggerated, however why not better safe than sorry? Milk thistle or Liv-52 are not expensive to take and I take some form of choline supp year round anyway.
I think if you're pre-disposed you're going to have more problems also if you add to it, like drink alcohol, you're going to have problems.

after what i drank last night my liver was layin in bed next to me this morning cryin.

you want to rot your liver out, take Tylenol
that shit will fuck your liver up fast than any liquor or AAS know to man

It's funny you say that. My g/f has a shirt that says "The Liver is evil, it must be punished" Now she can drink!! Shot after shot of straight vodka and never gets sloppy or stupid. She's always fun.
I'll go today and look for that LIV 52 I've heard good things about it.

The tylenol comment is dead on. I was talking to a PA the other day and she said that tylenol is the most liver toxic thing you can get over the counter. Its way worse than alcohol. If you take nyquil everyday for a week it is very common to have elevated liver enzymes. Isn't it funny how a ten year old can buy tylenol and responsible (well except maybe for those people whose liver sleeps beside them G) LOL adults cant take oral steroids.

The really stupid thing is that you can be a big guy, not be on anything, take tylenol a couple of hours before a blood test, and your liver enzymes will test high--THEN they blame it all on steroids based on your appearance.

I've been on HRT for over 10 years, done a few cycles, and my liver enzymes have always been only slightly elevated, yet my doc suddenly got concerned and actually had an ultrasound of my liver done. My liver was perfectly fine. This was having never taken even milk thistle. After having been using milk thistle, my last blood test showed the enzymes had been reduced with only one just barely elevated.

its funny how the fda will approve tylenol, but deny so many other things . i wonder how much their yearly political contribution is.

I remember reading an article about Tom Prince, he said it was Advil of all things that did him in...
he was putting down like 2 bottles a day to deal with training injuries

ended up causing kidney failure

I agree with most of you guys. I still take milk thistle, NAC, synthergine to be more safe than sorry. Of course when or if I plan on drinking I'll def up the liver support supps.

This may be a stupid question but: Would taking a liver support supp have any effect on orals if taken at the same time?

^^ i very seriously doubt it and if it did it would be minimal at most so i dont think it would be worth the risk of not taking it. Im paranoid about my liver and it may be overkill but i stay on liver protection almost all year round.
