Well, its like that saying " to be the man, you got to beat the man" and no one showed up that was going to take it from Jay hands down. I still think Branch was the closest and Kai, when he comes in "on" will be the man that can do it. Also to me Phil looked better at the Arnold Classic than he did last night.

Now the question is will Jay retire? I hope not.

jay deserved the win.....the question isn't was jay good enough for first (which he was), but rather was anyone else good enough to dethrone him this year?.......he's a good ambassador for the sport, but it does get old seeing the same winners each year.....i'd like to see a new winner every couple years or so......

Jay isnt the hardest guy up there or has the best shape, ect,ect...but he is the most complete...and that is where he gets the win at...Everyone else has something on Jay...(shape, conditioning, dryer, ect) but Jay is the most complete..and that is why he wins...People will say Phil looked better, and they have that right to say that...But, what people dont get is that unless your there, you dont get to really see the show...I dont care if your watching it at home on the webcast, or have looked at pictures for 6 hours, or whatever...if you where not there...then you didnt see the show...THERE IS SOOOO MUCH YOU CANT SEE IN PIC/OR WEBCAST THAT YOU CAN IN PERSON !!! Trust me on that one..the first Arnold or Mr.O that you go to you will get what im saying...and all the vets that have been to big shows (Pro shows, nats, USA, ect) will totally understand what im saying...You gotta be there ....to see who really won the show...so yeah, I agree with Jay winning the show...but yeah, I agree that Phil looked better in pics (IN PICS) but in person, I would bet my house that it was a whole different ball game....

yep jay has the complete physique, sadly though sooner or later his imbalances will get the better of him the same is it did with ronnie when it starts it will happen quickly and it will be all downhill from there.
this Olympia is probably the best ive seen, the places were all deserving cant really argue with any of them.
branch was pretty lucky to get 3rd though IMO front on branch looks like Mr O apart from his torn right lat in FDB, but from the back its completely different its really lacking and not just because of the tear his back is really undeveloped compared to the others, his legs though are insane no matter what angle your looking at them.
dexter looked great but can never really notice improvments he is one of the greats and as long as he keeps looking like that he will be a top 5 guy.
and dennis wolf in back on track for the title cant wait to see how he progresses one of the best BBers IMO just needs some more size mainly on his legs then he will be really hard to beat.

Chris is 100% on with the differences in pics vs. being there. What really blows you away is the sheer size and look of these guys in person. Seeing them in mags is impressive, but you really don't grasp how different they are even from "big" bodybuilders until you see them 5 ft. from you.

It just blows the mind what today's top bodybuilders are capable of. To hold 270 pounds on a 5'9" frame and still look that hard and that cut is simply amazing.

Word. My wife and I were VIP in the front row of the stage. yes, that's right, the first row. We had one of weiders comp seats. Anyhow, we'll never go to another Olympia unless were VIP again. Not worth it. Seeing it on cast, or even 20 rows back is not the same being 10 feet away. It's like seeing a stripper sitting at the stage versus watching it from the bar; I want that pussy in front of my face!

Thought Phil looked the best but as I predicted Jay deserved the Win. Jay brought just a little more to the table. I have to wonder if he'll retire after this one--where Jay appears to have maxed out his potential, Phil has room to grow. The guy looked absolutely unbelievable. Incredible body both days. Branch deserved 3rd IMO, no way he could have beat Jay or Phil legitimately in that show. No freaking way in hell.

I think I was reading an old muscle and fitness the other day and they had an interview with Cutler. He said in this one he wanted to retire by 34 I think. He didn't quite make that but you never know I guess.
