The European Powerlifting Federation (EPF) 2024 European Classic Powerlifting Championships (ECC) will be held in Velika Gorica, Croatia, from March 12-17, 2024. 103 men and 111 women will gather from all over Europe to challenge for the title of European Champion.

It’s been a quick turnaround from the 2023 ECC held in December 2023. The 2023 European Champions have had a short tenure due to a reorganization of the international calendar. The competition will remain in March for the next few years at least.

2023 ECC — Athletes to Watch

  • Enahoro Asein (HUN), 83KG — deadlift world record holder
  • Jurins Kengamu (GBR), 83KG — top-ranked British lifter
  • Chiara Bernardi (ITA), 63KG —  two-time European champion
  • Tony Cliffe (GBR), 120KG — two-time world champion
  • Marte Kjenner (NOR), 69KG — two-time European champion
  • Temur Samarkharadze (GEO), +120KG — current Junior world champion
  • Sonita Muluh (BEL), +84KG— squat world record holder

All sessions at the 2023 ECC will be available for free on the EPF’s YouTube channel.
