LeBron James Bets Big On The Future Of The Gym With Tonal

LeBron James made his latest investment in the fitness industry.
LeBron James is one of the best basketball players in the world. Since being drafted first overall in 2003, James has taken over the basketball world along with venturing into other business opportunities. James is more than a basketball player and has done plenty of good along with investing his earnings into great products.
The latest is Tonal, advertised as the world’s smartest home gym. On Wednesday, the company announced that James is the latest investor and brand partner. Tonal posted to Instagram to make an announcement.
“@kingjames. Powered by Tonal.
LeBron James is always putting in work. His dedication paired with skill, and tenacity has helped him far exceed any goal he’s set for himself. He’s always pushing himself.
Now he’s stepping into the future of fitness to elevate his game. We’re so excited to partner with the four-time basketball champion helping him train smarter, using personalized digital weight and artificial intelligence to continue to dominate on and off the court.
#BeYourStrongest”

LeBron James is entering his 19th year in the NBA. The 36-year-old continues to be in incredible shape as he has spent millions of dollars on his body over the course of his career. This is to keep himself at the top of his game and it has worked wonders. In year 18 in the league, James averaged 25 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game. The four-time champion is looking to add more to his resume on the court but has done plenty of work off as well.

James is one his way to becoming the first active NBA player to notch billionaire status. He has earned well over $200 million from his contracts but has made even more off the court. James currently has a billion-dollar lifetime contract with Nike, owns 14 Blaze Pizza franchises, and has stakes in Beats Electronics. Tonal is next on the list.

Tonal is the new age of a home gym. It is mounted on the wall and features over 200 workouts. Tonal does not have dumbbells or barbells but uses electromagnetism to create resistance. Tonal saw a massive strike in sales during the COVID-19 pandemic as gyms were forced to close their doors.
On its website, Tonal is priced at $2,995 plus tax, to purchase the gym. This comes with a monthly membership that is $49 per month.
LeBron James is not the first notable athlete to put his or her name on Tonal. This list includes Serena Williams, Steph Curry, Tony Gonzalez, Klay Thompson, and Michelle Wie.
Tonal has landed many big names but might have just partnered with the biggest in sports. James has been a smart businessman who does not put his name on a product unless it has legs. With the recent surge in Tonal sales, it is not surprising to see James get in on the action.
