Talking Huge With Craig Golias | EP 6: Kai Greene Vs Phil Heath, Victor Martinez Vs Jay Cutler, & More

Craig Golias has doubts about Kai Greene’s 317 pound physique, talks Nicolas Villioud’s retirement, and much more.
Welcome to another episode of Talking Huge – a weekly digital series in which Craig Golias talks in-depth with Vlad Yudin on the latest trending topics in bodybuilding. Raw, honest, and uncut – Craig Golias shares his opinions on all things bodybuilding. In this episode, Craig Golias talks about Kai Greene’s recent 317 pound shredded physique, possible comeback rivalry rematches, Nicolas Vullioud’s retirement, and more!
This past week was packed with exciting updates and news in the bodybuilding world. Kai Greene made some considerable waves by not only posting his massive 317 pound shredded physique photo – but also calling out Phil Heath for some sort of challenge. Could it be a bodybuilding rematch? Victor Martinez also made mention in one of our own interviews that he would only compete again to rematch Jay Cutler in a special bodybuilding battle. Craig also talks his thoughts on Nicholas Vullioud’s retirement announcement at a young age. And we discuss some functional bodybuilding tips such as how to properly meal prep and break through plateaus.
Craig Golias: Kai Greene Is Not 317 Pounds And That Shredded
The first topic we discuss with Craig Golias is the recent waves Kai Greene made on social media. First, he posted an epic and shredded photo of himself – claiming to be 317 pounds. It was proof that despite no longer competing, that he was keeping in fantastic shape. Fans started speculating (again) if he would make some sort of comeback.
Craig Golias, while finding the photo impressive, does not believe that Kai Greene was actually 317 pounds in the photo. He just doesn’t see that being possible at Kai Greene’s height and build. According to Craig, there’s no way Kai can maintain that level of shredded physique while staying at 317 pounds. Instead, he is more likely 285 pounds. Craig admits that even at 285 pounds, his physique is shredded and impressive. But he thinks that the shock of his claim is a little misleading.
Craig Golias also touches on the news that Kai Greene has been calling out Phil Heath. Craig never found much excitement in their rivalry – but admits that if they were to do some sort of special bodybuilding PPV event that he would watch it.
What Craig would be more excited to see, however, is Victor Martinez rematch against Jay Cutler. Craig claims this would be the most exciting event in bodybuilding possible for him – much more exciting than Kai vs Phil.

Nicolas Villioud Shocking Retirement At Only 30 Years Old
Craig Golias also shares his thoughts on the recent retirement announcement by Nicolas Villioud. The promising bodybuilder is only 30 years old – and many fans had high hopes for his career in the coming years. According to Villioud’s own announcement – he retired because he felt he could not compete even with only 1% doubt in his mind. He has other goals he would like to accomplish with his life, it caused even the smallest doubt that he should compete, so he felt that this was the wrong mental attitude to have to ever become a champion.
Craig Golias agrees with this point and somewhat relates. Craig used to compete on the bodybuilding stage but quickly left to focus on his own goals of getting huge in his own way. The amount of repetitive work and dedication required to become a Mr. Olympia champion is all-consuming. If there is a doubt that this is what you seek to be fulfilled in life – it might be the right decision to retire.

Talking Huge With Craig Golias | EP 5: Muscle Worship and Highest Paid Bodybuilders

Craig Golias talks about the biggest threats growing in the sport, the realities of muscle worship, and who are the highest paid bodybuilders today.
Welcome to another episode of Talking Huge – a weekly digital series in which Craig Golias talks in-depth with Vlad Yudin on the latest trending topics in bodybuilding. Raw, honest, and uncut – Craig Golias shares his opinions on all things bodybuilding. In this episode, Craig Golias talks about the most threatening bodybuilders rising in the ranks, debating the best coaches in bodybuilding, which bodybuilders make the most money today, and muscle worshiping.

Craig Golias is a bodybuilder with no filter – not necessarily to be controversial – but more so because he simply says what’s on his mind right away. That’s why this week’s topics go into some truly funny and shocking directions. He makes his guesses based on rumors for who are the highest paid bodybuilders today. He also gets open and honest about muscle worship in bodybuilding. He’s received many requests to pay him for muscle worship – and knows bodybuilders who have done it. It’s a wild ride of an episode – so let’s jump right in.
The Biggest Threats Rising In Bodybuilding
Vlad Yudin asks Craig Golias who he thinks are the most threatening athletes rising up in bodybuilding today. Straight after his big win at the Puerto Rico Pro – Craig has his eyes on Akim Williams. Craig believes that Akim is one of the few more accomplished bodybuilders who is actually improving – while many other of his ilk are getting worse. Akim also turned heads at the Mr. Olympia 2020 when he rose up to his highest placing of 6th.
Craig Golias also brings up Nick Walker – who has been building hype ever since he earned his pro card in 2020. Walker has been receiving favorable comparisons to the physique of Dorian Yates. He’s able to keep his waist small while also maintaining a massive physique overall. Craig Golias wouldn’t be surprised to see him become one of the most notable pros within this decade.

Who Is Making The Most Money Today?
After discussing a bit about athletes starting their own supplement lines – Vlad asked Craig who he thinks is making the most money in the sport today. Craig Golias can’t know for sure – but he’s heard rumors. Based on those rumors, he would guess that Chris Bumstead is probably the highest paid bodybuilder currently competing. Two Olympia wins certainly help – but he also has a massive, yet classic physique that works wonders for a wider variety of sponsorships.
Craig Golias also mentions another Canadian bodybuilder, Regan Grimes, as a potential athlete who brings in massive cash. Craig also mentions Brian Shaw. Though not a bodybuilder, he’s heard word that Shaw brings in some serious revenue.

Craig Golias: Muscle Worship In Bodybuilding Is Real
In our final topic, Vlad asks Craig Golias about muscle worship in bodybuilding. Muscle worship is a form of fetish where individuals get arosed by massive muscle. It’s been long rumored that bodybuilders can help supplement their funds by committing to muscle worship videos. But is this true?
Craig Golias admits it’s all true. Though he doesn’t know how many bodybuilders do it – he knows people who have. And Craig has received many requests to do muscle worship videos or scenarios. He claims the requests range from PG rated (just looking or touching muscle) to XXX rated with full on muscle-bound sex.

Craig Golias and Vlad Yudin discuss the World’s Strongest Man 2021, muscle implants and synthol in bodybuilding, plus much more!
Welcome to another episode of Talking Huge – a weekly digital series in which Craig Golias talks in-depth with Vlad Yudin on the latest trending topics in bodybuilding. Raw, honest, and uncut – Craig Golias shares his opinions on all things bodybuilding. In this episode, Craig Golias talks about Tom Stoltman’s win at the World’s Strongest Man 2021, synthol injections, muscle implants, and the challenge of buying clothes as a mass monster.

This episode is jam packed with topics ranging from news, funny thoughts, and deep dives into bodybuilding culture. With this past weekend holding the World’s Strongest Man 2021 finals, Craig talks about not only Tom Stoltman’s win but Brian Shaw’s second place finish. Should he retire or keep pushing for another win? He also discuss shortcuts in bodybuilding – specifically synthol and muscle implants. Also discussed is financial planning in bodybuilding, how to buy clothes when you are huge, and Brad Castleberry’s supposed fake weight lifts. Let’s jump into it!
Does Brad Castleberry Lift Fake Weight?
This is a topic that has long been debated in the bodybuilding community. It’s true that Brad Castleberry has strayed away from his massive viral lifts in recent years. That being said, the fake weight reputation has stuck. Whenever his name is brought up in bodybuilding – a debate is likely to follow.
Vlad asked Craig Golias directly what he believes regarding Brad Castleberry and the fake weight accusations. Golias falls exactly 50/50 on the topic. He doesn’t know him personally. Some of the lifts to him seem too heavy to be real. But he does acknowledge that some of his videos take place in public gyms – where it would be harder to use fake weights.
Ultimately, Craig Golias doesn’t understand why he doesn’t just prove it once and for all. If it’s really not fake – have a live video with a trusted in-person spectator to prove the weights are real. Not only would it end the debate, it would likely get a lot of attention. A great way to get another viral video.

Synthol and Muscle Implants
Vlad Yudin also dives in deep with Craig Golias on the topic of synthol and muscle implants. First talking about synthol, Golias is completely against them. He believes they are trash and no real bodybuilder should use them. It goes against the real reason people live the bodybuilding lifestyle – to train and work hard for perfecting the body.
He does admit that he’s heard rumors a lot of pro bodybuilders used synthol in very small doses to perfect weak areas. Specifically, he heard rumor this was happening in the late 90s and early 2000s. Though he wasn’t present himself during that time – so he can’t claim it as a definite hard truth.
Vlad Yudin also brings up muscle implants. Less popular in the United States, other countries are more open to implants to improve the physique when it comes to muscle. Craig is more open to this idea – but certainly not for competitive bodybuilding. He also touches on traditional implants such as breast implants or butt implants. Craig finds it unfair that some cultures shame women for this. In his mind, if bodybuilders can use steroids to enhance their physique, why can’t women use implants to look how they want?

Craig Golias talks on how bodybuilders are swarming to Las Vegas, how to not overeat while bulking, and his relationship with the late Rich Piana
Welcome to another episode of Talking Huge – a weekly digital series in which Craig Golias talks in-depth with Vlad Yudin on the latest trending topics in bodybuilding. Raw, honest, and uncut – Craig Golias shares his opinions on all things bodybuilding. In this episode, Craig Golias talks about Las Vegas becoming the new mecca of bodybuilding, his friendship with Rich Piana, how to not overeat while bulking, and his early days as an ectomorph.

While Craig Golias may have only had a short career as a competitive bodybuilder, he still love the sport and lifestyle passionately. During our time talking with Craig during this episode, he also recounts his very first time going to the Mr. Olympia competition as a fan. He also discusses his how much he enjoys going to the expo and meeting fans.
Are bodybuilders flocking to live in Las Vegas?
One of our main points of discussion this week is Las Vegas and how it’s suddenly booming with bodybuilding. It’s no secret that for decades the Mr. Olympia has been held in Las Vegas. Ironically, that has changed over the past two years due to COVID-19 – yet the bodybuilding culture seems to be thriving in Las Vegas regardless.
Craig Golias is one of those bodybuilders. He now lives in Las Vegas and hasn’t looked back. In fact, he despises California cities due to the immense traffic and expensive prices. According to Craig, he’s not alone. Many aspiring and pro bodybuilders are moving to Las Vegas. Not only that – but notable gyms are opening up in the area as well.

This combination of bodybuilding-focused gyms and bodybuilders seems to be early signs of a shift in the bodybuilding landscape. Will Las Vegas soon overshadow Los Angeles as the mecca of bodybuilding? Craig Golias believes so.
Vlad Yudin also discusses with Craig how a similar shift is happening on the east coast. Many bodybuilders and events have been moving to Florida. This was accelerated by the pandemic and the lax laws in the state. But this shift was happening even before COVID-19 consumed the world.
Craig Golias On Overeating And Life As An Ectomorph
The topic of bulking returns this week as Craig Golias gives advice on how to not overeat while trying to put on size. The key of course is to eat clean. But he also suggests that your tactics change depending on your current weight. If you are overweight and want to build muscle – Craig suggests focusing on dieting and cutting weight first. Drop the fat, then return to eating heavily – only this time with clean foods.
Craig Golias, while massive and nearly 300 pounds, was not a man who naturally carried weight during his younger years. In fact, he was skinny as twig. He describes himself as an ectomorph who could eat whatever he wanted without gaining weight.

So of course, when he decided to try and build massive muscle – he overindulged extremely. At first, this combined with training led to mostly muscle growth. But by the time he went from 150 pounds to 225 pounds, the weight gain started going from muscle to fat.
At the time, Craig Golias knew nothing about the protocols and tactics for being a successful bodybuilder. He was just playing it by ear and trying to emulate the physiques he saw in movies and magazines. For future generations – he warns against doing what he did at the start. The sooner you know about building muscle on a clean diet, the sooner you will find the kind of real bodybuilding success you are likely looking for.

Talking Huge With Craig Golias | EP 2: Bodyguarding, Crazy Fight Stories, & Bodybuilding

Craig Golias and Vlad Yudin discuss Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather, crazy bodyguard stories, social media & bodybuilding, and how pro bodybuilding is the hardest sport of them all.
Welcome to another episode of Talking Huge – a weekly digital series in which Craig Golias talks in-depth with Vlad Yudin on the latest trending topics in bodybuilding. Raw, honest, and uncut – Craig Golias shares his opinions on all things bodybuilding. In this episode, Craig Golias talks about how the Logan Paul boxing match was boring, his craziest bodyguard stories, and how social media ruined the sport of bodybuilding.

Craig Golias has had quite the rollercoaster of a career. Before becoming a bodybuilder he was a male stripper and a bodyguard. This led to a large variety of crazy and entertaining stories. Some of which Craig discusses in this episode. He was also a competitive bodybuilder before hanging up the towel and focusing on his brand and being an influencer. He shares some stories from his competitive days and why he decided to step down.
He also shares his opinion on how social media affected the sport of bodybuilding. Social media has certainly benefited Craig – but he thinks it has ruined the sport for pure competitive athletes. He also comments about the hardest parts about competitive bodybuilding – stating that it’s the hardest sport in the world.
Logan Paul Vs Floyd Mayweather – “It Was Boring”
Craig Golias and Vlad Yudin’s conversation in this episode came straight off the heels of the much hyped and controversial Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather boxing match. Ultimately, Logan Paul lasted the entire match against Mayweather. No knockout occurred. This was a good look for Logan Paul – who was going up against one of the greatest boxers in recent memory.
But to Craig Golias, the boxing match was boring. Because there was no knockout – the fight pretty much slugged along. As far as boxing matches go – Craig found it pretty uneventful. If it weren’t for the two names being so massively popular, this would be a boxing match unremembered.

Vlad Yudin asks Craig if he would ever step in the ring for an exhibition match. Perhaps for charity. Craig Golias admits he’s not much of a fighter – and prefers to stay out of combat. Vlad then asked him theoretically who would be the best opponent for him in the ring. Craig jokes that Big Ramy would be the ultimate opponent. Both of them are sponsored by Enhanced Labs. Both of them are mass monsters. Who would win? Sadly, it will simply be left to the imagination.
Craig Golias’ Bodyguard Stories
Craig Golias also talks about his time as a bodyguard before he was full fledged into bodybuilding. He tells one of the craziest stories from his time as a bodyguard. He was guarding a drug addict who ultimately tried to stiff paying Craig. This caused Craig to loose his patience and wrap his hands around the man’s throat. He was in a popular spot in Las Vegas.
Ultimately, his friends convinced him that it wasn’t worth going to jail over. So he let the man go. Craig claims that he did ultimately follow up with the drug addict and get his fair pay for bodyguarding. Craig Golias’ lesson for others? Make sure to always get paid up front and don’t work with drug addicts.

Bodybuilding Is The Hardest Sport In The World… And Social Media Ruined It
Craig Golias also talks with Vlad Yudin about his years as a competitive bodybuilder. He ultimately stepped down because he didn’t enjoy the back and forth of bulking and then shredding. He also claims that bodybuilding is the hardest sport of them all – above all other major pro sports. He thinks the focus and dedication to transform your body to champion status requires more work than any other sport.
Craig Golias also believes that social media has completely ruined the sport of bodybuilding. He admits that he favors from this shift. Since he no longer competes – he uses social media to promote his training, his clothes, and his overall brand. But Craig believes that serious pro bodybuilders get the short end of the stick.
Specifically, he thinks that influencers get more money than pro bodybuilders do from the sport. Some pro bodybuilders find a way to balance using social media alongside competing – but it’s rare. Craig believe that the prestige and the higher paying sponsorships, magazine covers, etc don’t come through if you are simply a champion level bodybuilder. It now requires a strong social media presence as well. That’s more work. It’s more than competitors needed to do in the past.

Talking Huge With Craig Golias | EP 1: Dirty Bulking, Guy Flips Out, & Fasting Sucks

Talking Huge With Craig Golias | EP 1: Dirty Bulking, Guy Flips Out, & Fasting Sucks

Craig Golias and Vlad Yudin discuss health in bodybuilding and how to build muscle without getting fat.
Welcome to Talking Huge – a new weekly digital series in which Craig Golias talks in-depth with Vlad Yudin on the latest trending topics in bodybuilding. Raw, honest, and uncut – Craig Golias shares his opinions on all things bodybuilding. In our premiere episode, Craig and Vlad discuss Guy Cisternino’s angry gym outburst, dirty bulking vs clean bulking, and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle as a mass monster bodybuilder.
Craig Golias only has one goal in life, to be as huge as possible. His obsession with being huge has made him a popular figure in the world of bodybuilding. Not only that, but it earned him a featured spot in our recent film Bigorexia – exploring the mindset of those who never feel big no matter how large they become.

But what is refreshing about Craig Golias is that he’s honest about his journey towards getting huge. He no longer competes in pro bodybuilding and is open to discussing more taboo topics about the sport. He’s also very open about the realities of his massive size when it comes to health and fitness.

How To Be Healthy In Bodybuilding When Weighing Over 300 Pounds
Craig Golias is a true mass monster and aims to hover at around 300 pounds. With that amount of weight being carried on his body – does he fear long term health ramifications down the road? This is something that originally didn’t concern Craig, but as he’s gotten older, he has become more responsible in managing his health.
He visits a doctor regularly for bloodwork and an overview of his health. He recommends that any bodybuilder putting on large amounts of mass do the same. He’s focusing on taking care of his liver with medication – but beyond that he’s maintained a healthy lifestyle. This is largely due to him changing his habits after consulting a doctor more regularly.
He is honest about one painful detail. No matter what, when a person is carrying 300 pounds of weight – it’s a strain on the heart. Whether it’s fat or muscle – the human body is not meant to be so large. This is part of the reason why Craig takes going to the doctor regularly seriously. He knows it’s a risk. So being proactive with doctor visits can help in the long run.

How To Build Muscle Without Gaining Fat
Craig Golias and Vlad Yudin also discuss bulking. How does one build massive amounts of muscle like Craig without earning fat. The key is to make sure you do a clean bulk. The kinds of food you eat will effect how you gain wait. Yes, a bodybuilder needs to consume a massive amount of calories to build muscle. If you eat lean clean foods, that will turn into more muscle and less fat. If you’re stuffing your face with dirty foods – this will turn into muscle along side the fat.
Craig Golias also shares some stories of some of the worst dirty bulks he has ever seen in bodybuilding. He’s seen bodybuilders bulk so dirty that their waist goes up to 40 inches or more.

Guy Cisternino’s Gym Outburst
Craig Golias and Vlad Yudin also touch base on the viral video of Guy Cisternino. The video blew up and made headlines in May 2021. We also interviewed Cisternino about it to get his take on the whole situation. Ultimately, Cisternino admits he overreacted – but also believes that context matters.
Craig Golias agrees with this sentiment. Pro bodybuilders are in the zone when they are training in the gym. It’s their job. It’s not just a hobby like it is for most gym patrons. While Craig believes that positivity is always the better option – sometimes people overreact. This is especially true when a bodybuilder is training seriously in the gym.
Ultimately, it seems as if both parties overreacted. The younger men filming in the gym were being disrespectful and defensive. After Guy Cisternino asked for them to give him space politely – they got even more defensive. This caused Cisternino to go off the handle. It’s an unfortunate situation but not a damning one. The video itself removed context and led to some false conclusions. Sadly, that’s simply the nature of the internet attention span.
