Time to grow

Hey, I notice you're using heavier weight on incline than flat. Is this just because of the order in which you did your workout? I ask because I was BS-ing with another guy the other day who said he's much stronger on incline than flat bench. For instance, he said he can rep 315 on incline but 225 flat is a challenge for him. This amazed me! I'm a LOT weaker on incline than flat!

I am same way emw, but when I hurt my shoulder I can go much heavier on incline without it hurting

Same here brother it's just more comfortable. One issue is I'm as flexible as a piece of angle iron. Somehow before show and at least 8 weeks out I have to go get some grass on treatments to break up scar tissue around my shoulder flat kills my left shoulder to do a lat spread. And you can easily see its a lack of range of motion

What it is with me on flat bench with barbell shoulder joint has to hold in that position especially with wide grip, it also put pressure where I have those disc behind my neck. When I busted my shoulder about a month ago I can do incline no pain but not even bar on flat

I think by "grass on" treatments you mean Graston... probably an auto correct issue. Am I right? I've had Graston treatments.

What I have found to be more effective is Active Release Techniques. You can find a provider - whichbwill be a chiropractor, same as Graston - via the A.R.T. website. There, the various providors are listed along with their certifications (A.R.T. has their own cert program). This is EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE at breaking up scar tissue and restoring range of motion.

There are at least 2 ART chiros I know who are heavily involved with MMA fighters. One is in Vegas, Jon Petrick; the other guy I know is in NJ, Mike Gearinger. Mike avtually travels with a well known MMA fighter from NJ when he's on the road for fights. I went to Petrick when I lived in Vegas amd go to Gearinger now that I'm back in NJ.

You have to find someone who's good at it and who will spend the time to "dig deep". It isn't always comfy..... And I've had some guys who go tjrough the motions without really working at it. That may work on someone without much muscle mass... If you try it, you'll know immediately if the guy (or gal, but for people like us it's unlikely a woman would have the strength in her hands to be effective) knows what he's doing or not. The effect is immediate. It may take some repetition for it to last, but if done right Ibfeel better immediately.

Neck has been this way with bulging disc 12 years. I don't want surgery right now.. worst part is pains in dam hands like carpal tunnel but it's nerves from neck. And shoulders feel like they hurt sometimes can't move on or other sparp pain like a dam tear and two days later shoulder all good but can't turn neck stiff. By where trap connects to neck at top. This only happens couple times a year in winter but hands hurt alot

Yes damn spell check though some grass might help too lol. Isn't that guy in Vegas who Jay Cutler goes too

I'm much stronger on the incline as well. In fact, I don't really flat bench anymore. I incline and decline.

I've got some nice scar tissue going on in my left pec from where I tore it a few years back, and I've got some in my shoulders too. I'd love to get that out of there.

Shit happens, man! The last couple of times I deadlifted, I did it too soon after a meal and suffered because of it. Still looks like you got a good workout to me!

I would have trouble with a log. I measure my workouts by the fatigue and pump I have in my muscle and how hot I am with sweat from exertion of energy.
What's funny is everytime I feel I didn't get a good workout in I also notice that I am not that hot and sweaty. So I may not be putting out for whatever reason gas, stress, whatever.
What I don't do is count reps or sets I go all by feel. I skipped legs two Thursdays ago and yesterday and today after this past Thursday they are sore and bad. I plowed them and mostly with squats supersetting seated calves and seated leg curls supersetting with leg extensions. They are hurting lol!
To get the pump and fatigue I need I can't keep track or follow something it just throws me off. That is me

I don't go in with a plan I do know what exercises I'm going to do but reps or sets is feel. I usually go all out each set bit today I held back on the lighter sets. Thinking it would give more in the tank for the heavy sets I probably won't try the holding back thing again.

I need a plan and I need to log. It works for me. But if I just go by feel I actually feel irritated during my work out and feel "off". I seriously think it's the German in me...I must document and monitor everything.
I did stop tracking my food in myfitnesspal and that took a month to get over! But at this stage I know what a meal looks like and I always eat the same thing 80% of the time.
