Jonathan Cayco (93KG) Sets Two IPF Raw World Records at the 2023 IPF World Classic Championships

The 93-kilogram class on the world stage of IPF competition is likely to see Jonathan Cayco of the USA atop the scorecards. He entered the 2023 IPF World Classic Championships in St. Julian’s, Malta, as the reigning IPF raw bench press world record holder.At the end of the competition for the 93-kilogram lifters, Cayco won gold by advancing his IPF world record raw bench press to 243 kilograms and setting a new IPF world record total of 888 kilograms — eight kilograms more than Gavin Adins’ previous record from the 2023 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.Check out Cayco’s IPF world record raw bench press in the video below, courtesy of the IPF’s Instagram page:

Cayco’s total was 13 kilograms more than silver-medalist Gustav Hedlund of Sweden and 15.5 kilograms more than bronze-medalist Emil Krastev of Bulgaria.
