Ok, let's expand some musical horizons here! I'm looking for songs that you love, but not many other people know about. These could be old or new, unknown songs from popular bands, or just great songs from unknown bands.

Let's hear them! Then, time to crank up kaaza and give them a listen :D

Sex Supreme - Tenacious D
It's kind of funky, just a wild song. Kind of funny, if you know what the guys (Jack Black and Kyle Gass) look like. The lyrics are R, maybe X-rated.

Beach Rats - Subset
Subset is Sir Mix-a-Lot and the guys from The Presidents of the United States of America. Same funky beat (all bass guitars) as the Presidents, and you've got Mix singing. All their stuff is good, but this is my favorite.

Possum Kingdom - The Toadies
I've actually heard this on the radio a couple times, but this is one of my all time favorites. Has a really strange base line - like 4 beats, then 5 beats (I've been told there's a name for this sort of thing).

Live for the Moment - Monster Magnet
Killer song, actually part of it is the entrance music for Matt Hardy in WWE.

Bonecracker - Shocore
Shocore is a new band out of vancouver, I believe. This is a great (metal/hard rock) song that I think just hasn't made it to the air yet. I hope it does, awesome song!

Airport Song - Guster
Cool band, never really got popular, acoustic sound, uses bongos instead of drums.

Actually anything by them is good, pick up the cd Goldfly. Great Escape is a good one too.

Cool, listening to Live for the Moment now, Harvey! I already had it on my computer, just haven't listened before!

Snot - Snot
Very loud and fast new rock, singer died right when they were starting to get into the big time.

Soil - Halo, Breaking Me Down, Unreal
Off the Scars disk, sounds kind of like Godsmack or Sevendust

Ok nusic buffs maybe you can help me out two to thre years ago on the radio I heard a song and have not heard it since.

The song is set to the same beat as that Budweiser commercial that say policemen, firemen, so and so so brings me my morning coffee wishes me good luck blah blah blah maria looking good in a skirt etc etc etc

The song I am trying to find has that same fast beat and rythm except the word are

Maybe its the lawyers, maybe its the taman maybe it is the cops maybe it is etc etc etc.

The song had a fast paced cool beat good lyrics and I liked it when I heard it and have not been able to find it since.

Can you help with the search.

Union Underground - Killing the Fly, Turn Me On Mr. Deadman, Across The Nation, Revolution Man
They have an angry industrial sound like NIN except more rock based.

Seether - Gasoline, Driven Under, Fine Again, FXXk It
These guys are finally getting radio & mtv play, the whole disclaimer cd is bad ass.

Awesome band, saw them live with Tantric & Earshot, they blew them off the stage.

Possum Kingdom is a great song, I think a lot of people think it is called Do You Want To Die.

Wow, Weirdal I am impresses I have asked a number of record store people and they had no clue. I don't know if that is the song it sure sounds like it though.

I seem to remember a male singing the song though.

The other thing is I have not heard that song in two to three years so it is kind of ironic that the link you posted mentions the song being released this past January.

I heard that song in '99 0r 2000 maybe 2001 and have not heard it since.

Very perplexing.

There;s a link on that link I gave where you can hear a clip of the song...

And I think the website is just old. I believe it was released in '99, then re-released in '00.

Dropkick Murphy's - Spicy McHaggis, Skinhead on the MTBA
Kick ass irish rock. They have a lot of other good songs, but I can't remember the titles.
