Shakes Per Day?

How many do you usually drink when in a bulking process? Per day?

As it stands, I'm on pace to consume 15 pounds of powder in about a month. It's been between 2-5 shakes a day.

Usually between 4-6 shakes.

I almost always combine food and a shake at a meal, although breakfast and before bed are always shake only.

If it is shake alone I will use 4 scoops or 100grams

If it is with a steak or some chicken usually a 50gram shake

i only eat solid once a day. the rest is shakes, every 2 hours. about 30gms of protein in a serving.

off season~i eat TONS of beef. 3 steaks a day:eek: + protein shakes.

I live on shakes......Muscle milk 5-6 times a day with whole milk for bulking and Whole eggs for breakfast as the only solid food.

this is one of my peeves;

people who suggest that dieting on shakes being the biggest part of your diet, don't get as shredded as someone who diets eating solid meals all the time.....they say that your thyroid slows down because you are not getting any solid food.

when protein powder and water hit your stomach, the water and protein seperate, the protein is digested as a SOLID......therefore you are getting solid meals just "drinking them".

i asked a doctor i know about this, and that was his reply, he says there IS no difference between drinking OR eating your meals.

if you diet on shakes though, you have to have a junk day once a week to keep your body "guessing" ....this (junk day) keeps your thyroid working efficiently.

It might be just me, but I now try avoid protein shakes cause they make me feel to full and full for too long that I end up eating much less protein. After a while the same old whey powder taste just gets boring. Most shakes taste like shit anyways(but not the sponsors of this site stuff though!*cough* ;) ).
Eating a whole chicken or an extra steak or two much better.:D

Most shakes do taste like shit, btu when u find one that doesnt you'll love it........They fill me up for 2-3 hours and im ready for another. I friend of mine lives on met-rx shakes and eats beans once a day for fiber.......thats all! He is shredded and big!

i have 1,2 many.....is it true that if guzzle your shakes you don't digest the total amount of protein shakes

I'm in the same boat!

ME TOO! Eating a lot- or even close to enough- if VERY hard for me.
I find that after I drink a shake, the next meal is even harder to get down. At the end of the day, I am unsure whether protein shakes are helpful for me.
Just gotta keep at it I guess!!

if you are using AAS and/or training.....YOUR BODY NEEDS THE EXTRA PROTEIN. you don't have to be unsure, it's true;)

I have 1 shake in am with @50 grams of protein along with oatmeal.

1 protein shake, trans-alanyl glutamine, arginine and creatine ester along with simple/complex carbs and a glucophage post workout.

1 protein shake before bed.

Btw-cyphon muscle milk is awesome stuff. I'd say one of the best tasting by far except it has alot of saturated fat which is concerning. VPX has a good one though called Miccelean that has fiber and flax and good carbs.

i eat 6-7 meals today, 2-3 of those include a shake with 60g protien.

2 to 3 shakes a day, the rest is food. 6 meals a day. If I could afford it I would increase the amount of shakes I drink.
