Favorite Back Exercises For Mass

Hey bro's, what is your favorite back exercises to build mass and strength?

I'm looking for some crazy back exercises. Something heavy.

Lets see what you got' for me ;)

So far I've liked back fly's using dumbells on an incline bench.

Also liked doing pulldowns with the Triangle Cable Attachment.

What I would really like to do is build some kind of "High Bench" So I can lay flat on my stomach and just lift the barbell off the ground straight up using my back. Does anyone know if there are websites that sell a bench like this or is this something I'm going to have to crudely make?

Deads---- the king...

That was a fast response  I didn't even finish editing my first post. Yea, I haven't done deads in a while and I have never really gone hardcore on them. I'll be hitting up strict heavy deads really soon with one of my bro's.

We're hammering out some shorter, heavier workouts for mass. Deadlifts are definatley going to be in the arsenal.

Ive also envisioned this "high bench" , and id love to see one... Personally, i agree with mmx2 that the Deadlift is the best, however its hard to beat the heavy t bar row, and lets not forget one of my personal favorites, the wide grip, thumbs over the bar, fast up, slow down, pull-up.

Nice Avatar ton1333

Also, glad to see I'm not the only one who wants a high bench. You'd think they'd have already made something like that eh?

Bump, Bump, deadlifts & heavy T-bar row, My fav's too.......................... Rumor has it that Dorian Would do one enormous drop-set of heavy bent over rows, approx. 100 reps. I tried it and was messed up for 2 weeks. Less weight of course lol. I think he started with over 400 lbs. or some crazy s#*t like that. I only started at 185.

Are you looking for back thickness or width? or both?

Rack chins have built my lats like no other. That was my weakness, now I get compliments on that the most.

Deads, Rowing, and chins. I agree with jaywooly--rack chins build your lats like no other exercise--love 'em.

Nobody is saying cleans. There great and if you do hanging cleans you just focus on the upper back. We all know that your back routine MUST include deads, but u also could do rack pulls to really concentrate on the back and take the legs outta the movement. Bar rows are a must for width and thickness.

I knew I was forgetting one....cleans are also excellent. They really wear me out, but I love those too.

i like deads, bent over rows, dumbell rows...i've been meaning to start rack chins but forgot.LOL

i get so stoked to train back cuz its one of my main weak points. deads and rows are the best. you can move the most weight and it just feels good. only bad part is that stiffens my back up so damn bad so half way through im hating back days.

my top three woudl have to be
tbar rows
deads
barbell rows.

I'm the only one doing cleans, lol. U guys dont know what your missing. Your overall thickness will def increase as well as your upper back and shoulders not to mention you get quads in the end of the movment.

nothing beats doing as many chins as possible, then cranking out heavy sets of close-grip V-bar pulldowns.... Zylo, we may need a power cage for this !!

I have to agree ... Chins, T-Bar Rows, Deads work great for me.
What's up with these "rack chins"? Never done em'.

Deadlifts will pack on slabs of mass in no time, rack pulls will actually add it faster, shortened range of motion = heavier weights, heavier weights= more muscle :D

i also recently started doing cable rows. i generally considered them a pre-contest/chiseling lift but now i have been using them to bulk with and it's killing my back!!! staying in the 10 rep range and it feels real nice.
