Dumbell Presses...

My workout partner and I do some over the head dumbell presses, military-type style.

Anyway, each week this fool moves the back of the bench more an more back. I sit strait up, he's so far leaned back he's damn near doing an incline.

I've tried his ways and feel it working the front delts. Should I incorporate this excersize in addion to my sitting strait up? Or is this lift a wate of everyone's time? I find myself lifting about 20 more on each dumbell sitting that far back. In addition, even though I said it was a similar style to an incline - I dont feel it i my chest at all.

Perhaps I should translate it into what you people understand....

Oink, oink. Suuuuueeeey.

Answer me you pigs

Thats right damnit, i'm no swine. LOL. As for adjusting the bench back your freind is doing that to make the exercise easier not to work the shoulders more. You can clearly lift more in tha incline postion (or something with an incline) than in a upright postion.

Oh yeah, push presses are great for shoulders. And military's to the rear are anohter goodie just make sure to lower the bar to ONLY the bottom of your ears.

if you dont feel it in your chest, and you can use more weight then isn't that a good thing? what angle do you think its at?

The thing is feel it or not when you decrease the angle from upright you do begin to work your chest and take away from the shoulders. I say make him do push presses to really blast the shoulders.
