How long should I go???

Hey guys, need some advice.

I've been on sus250 and deca for about 12weeks... Im considering going for like 24??

Current doseage is 750mgs of sus, and 400mgs of deca. per week.

Im pretty new to this, so Im sure my body can handle a long cycle.... But my question has more to do with the potency of the cycle. I've got some good gains, but kinda im beginning to see less and less of significant gains. Im wondering if I need to up the dosage.. or maybe stop here... take a couple months off.... start up again....

what do you guys think???

When you do a cycle and then take time off to recover, you are in essence taking two steps froward and then one back.

I find that after a while it is hard to eat like I should - I start to get sick of feeling full all the time. Once you stop eating like crazy, your weight stops going up.

One thing that I try to do is to change my cycle every month or so. For example, dropping Deca for Tren. Or changing from Sust to Test E. I like the effects of this.

The typical approach is just to add more gear. However I am not sure that you would need more than 750 mg of Sust unless you are a big dude. I weigh about 190 at 5'8" and I usually only take 625 mg of Sust (though I stack it with a lot of things.)

For longer cycles, Bold/Eq is a great thing to include; you'll get progressive, solid gains.

I think you are seeing what is correct- gains are less and less the more time you are on and upping the dosage won't really cause dramatic changes. I think you may run it for a few more weeks then come off and recover for 12-14 weeks and begin again if you want.
Also, the longer you are on the longer it will take your body to normalize(HPTA,etc).

Yes... Its really not a good time for me to go off right now... Lol. I have women all over me, and Im bouncing part time at a bar. So All I need is my dick to not work and for some dude to kick my ass.

Im 240lbs. So Im not sure if 750mgs is a lot....

If you are new to cycles, then 750mg of test is not a lot(if you look at 2mg x your bodyweight) that is 480mg, so its a more than good good starting dosage-500mg would probably have been OK as well). You never want to start up high because there is nowhere to go dosage-wise and you will reach a saturation point pretty quickly if you continue at that rate. I was taking 750 at that weight and I had been that dosage for years. The thing you need to look at is total AS intake.
You are also running 400mg of deca,so that is 1150mg or 1.5g of AS. That is a lot of juice for a newbie. I think you will be fine at total dosage or individually(deca and test) for a while. Next time you can always change the mix of AS but keep the same total AS dosage. Diet will ultimately dictate you results not the AS. Also make sure you have a good post cycle therapy plan in place as well. You want to be able to kick some ass if you need to, but also perform outside of work as well.

1.15 isn't too bad...if you're gains aren't coming along too nicely then up the cals a bit. Preferably protein unless your carbs are low.

Well, Im sure there is a lot of advice on this site about prolonged cycles. I just dont want to stop for quite some time... just too damn fun right now!!! I read somewhere that someone has been on for over a year.... so whats wrong with 24 months!!! lol.

I just went back on and don't plan on coming off for at least a year maybe even two. Figure if I'm going to do a PCT, it may as well be a much needed PCT. lol...

Just curious- what are you hoping to accomplish by running it a year or two - are you on HRT?

Growth Principles for Beginners.... Just read it!! Big-A says I dont have to stop as long as my blood work is ok.... cool!!

Now I just need to rob a bank- lol...

Just trying to keep size on. I think it was mentioned earlier, when you do cycles, you are taking 2 steps forward and 1 step back. that is a poor way to make progress. overall goal is to get to 290-300lbs under 7%bf.

it is not a poor way to make progress, it is a better way in my opinion, your bodt has some time to rest and refresh your receptors and not to mention your kidneys and liver. i have stayed on for the better part of a year and the gains were decent but ended up doing 2 12 week cycles the following year and made much better gains and had much better blood work.

I can see this point. I have done 40 week cycles( due to contest prep) and ended up with health issues (my dosages were higher than most- I have been cycling for 20+ years, so this IS NOT something I would recommend to anyone with little to intermediate experience). I do two cycles a year- that is it. It is what works for me. The key is that you are able to grow off cycle as you can on cycle. If you can't and have to rely on AS to prop you up, then there are other factors that must be addressed(diet, rest, etc). Again, this may be old school, but it is very plausible to grow off cycle- I have done it for 20+ years. Tom, you have a pretty big challenge there. It is very difficult to remain at single digit BF% for long periods of time. Not only is it a challenge mentally, but it is a strain on the body.
I wish you luck in your endeavor, but if you decide to continue ask that you consider doing blood work/liver panels a few times a year to make sure you are doing your body undue harm. I understand Big A's thread on beginners training/cycling(ITS A GOOD READ - ITS A STICKY ON THE MUSCLECHEMISTRY DISCUSSION forum), and he stresses several times in the thread the blood tests are essential and necessary. The problem with a lot of guys is that they say I feel good, so why waste the time and money doing blood tests? I am not saying it can't be done, I know a lot of people that do- so I guess its just a matter of choice. Keep us posted on your progress of meeting your goals.
