GH question

my buddy is running 4iu's a day he split it up
2uis morning, 2ius lunch time
he wants to do both shots at the same time
if this less effective?

For all intents and purposes of increasing endurance and performance to some level, 3 to 6 IU will suffice. The same for most fat loss purposes. HGH has a very short half-life (30-45 minutes or so) and should be injected at least once daily, maybe twice daily if at all possible. For possibly more anabolic results due to its effects on freeing nutrients and increasing IGF-1 levels, 10-12 IU per day are needed for an extended period of time (10-15 weeks), usually in conjunction with other anabolic compounds. Its interesting to note that in your choice of anabolic, an aromatizing compound like testosterone should be given preference since estrogen has positive benefits on HGH as well.
 
I personally wouldn't recommend taking it before bed. I try to take it a couple hours before bed and I am taking 3 shots a day spread out from the time I wake up, Noon, and about 5pm. You don't want to take it before bed because that is when your body naturally releases GH, SOOOOO, taking it before bed is kinda like wasting the natural production. Take a heaping scoop of Glutamine in the Early A.M. and Before bed to get the natural GH levels up.
 
i disagree....like it says it has a very short half life, so an hour or two before bed wont suppress your natural production, and most people train around dinner time so that would be most beneficial for igf and storing nutrients. ala, the above article. actually most people you talk to (i.e. dr. Trop) says it doesnt matter when you take it. but the more doses the better.
 
I think Tom means that you shouldn't take it right before you go to bed so in essence you both seem to agree because he said he takes it a couple of hours before bed. Because of the body's natural rhythms in secreting most hormones including GH, I would have to think that timing of GH administration does have some importance.
