How rapid can/do you lose BF%'s.

Say you're 16 weeks out, what percentage of BF would you drop in say the 1st 4 weeks, then maybe the next 4 weeks (so 8 weeks total here).

I know this probably depend much on what you're starting at but work with me here, perhaps you can offer some different scenarios.

Lastly, what would an ideal BF% be for a starting point of contest prep, and how many weeks out should you start. (I understand they probably depend on eachother, but give me what you know)
 
Well I have been at 16% and dropped to 3% in 18 weeks(its a big drop with a lot of possible med issues). The best place to begin IMHO, is no more than 11-12% max. You should allow at the minimum 12 weeks. I know some guys that diet for only 8-10 weeks to get to contest weight. I hate those guys...
 
I'm one of those 8-10 week guys. i can lose fat like I can lose a set of car keys. Keeping it on seems to be the hardest part for me.
 
same boat as you tom-being an ectomorphin it's hard as hell to put on weight but I can loose it like nothing
 
I aim to lose around 3 lbs of fat per week when dieting and normally manage it, I make constant adjustments to my diet and cardio to achieve this
 
i try to keep it under control
so when i do have a show i dont have to kill myself as much dieting and doing cardio
