So i have been of gear for quite some time. For the past 2 months i have been trying to gain back 15lbs i lost. I have been eating wendys, jack n the box. So i can gain weight well i have gained about 5-7lbs. I have done no cardio and i had been feeling weird, light headed and just overall unhealthy. So I go Costco they have one of those machines where you can take your BP and it said mine was 140/81 thats not good!! Never have i had Bp problems b4 while being natural. Only time i have issues where while on ECA. So last night i did cardio for 30mnts. I will start hitting cardio at least 4x week. Any idea what may have caused this?

prob high sodium in those damn sandwiches and gear bro. hell a quarter pounder has over a gram of sodium in it. And those machines arent very accurate either id try to get a better reading if your worried before you do anything about it. i think its made for like 14 inch arms or somethin when i pull mine out i have blue marks on it and my arms are only about 171/2. so i know some of yalls are massive compared to mine. my advice just get it done with a good bp measure first.

you've been eating Wendy's and Jack n' the Box and you wonder why you haven't been feeling well??? LOL. Sorry bro but I think you've probably figured out that your diet is the culprit here. Like Gbart said that food is loaded with salt and bad fats and that is a ticket to not only high BP but a slew of other health problems. Clean up your diet and you should be fine, I don't blame the gear at all.

sorry bros i sounded stupid for leaving out a few details. I would eat shitty foods the days i could not eat enough calories. Im talking once a day 2-3 times a week not every meal everyday. Yeah in that case i would know why my bp is jacked up. But i don;t consider 2-3 trips a week to a fast food joint horrible diet.

and no i am not blaming gear at all, like i said i have been natural for a long time.

Looks like high sodium may be the culprit here. I highly recommend serrapeptase to bring down blood pressure. It has worked like a charm for me. BP is back in the normal range down from a regular reading of 150/96.

are you taking any just supps for it i have some stuff called michaels blood pressure factors and its brought mine down got a bunch of different supps all in one. also when im not on gear i take hawthorne when bulking cause i cheat way more then.

Maybe not for the average person but personally i would think anyone who wants to lead a fitness lifestyle whether bodybuilding or otherwise would find once a week too often... it's all about your diet bro, seriously you need to reconsider what you're putting into your body. I bet even a doctor would tell you that twice a week to a fast food joint is too much. You're not only messing with your diet, metabolism and workout the day you eat that crap but also paying for it the next day as well. Stay away from fast food brother i gaurantee that is what is raising your BP and who knows what else it's doing to your body.

i think it was that i was eating so damn clean(organic foods only) for so long that a sudden change fucked my bp up. I went again this morning and it was 134/79 so it could also be that machine is wrong. But to change the subject real quick. Do you guys think and if I puy my cock in the arm thing and press the green button it would feel good? Do not worry I will be doing this for research purposes only and ofcoarse I'll make sure no one is looking after all I do consider my self a gentleman. :D

lmfao bro haha yeah man i dont trust those machines i went once and mine was around 138/68 which the second is about normal for me so i started taking some hawthorne then about a week later went over to my gpas. He has an actual bp tester good one cause of his cancer and stuff. came in at like 122/65 so i think its those machines man.

BP Advice

First and foremost, keep checking it and don't blow it off. A log might be helpful, w/ sodium comsumption recorded as well. But yes, a big problem for all, esp. lifters, is that most BP, regardless of settings, are taken with the wrong cuff size (usually to small as previously indicated). Most of the home use machimes with the self inflating feature use a small cuff, but even a large cuff only goes to 17". The wrist models are considered to be highly inaacurate, as is using your forearm. This leaves you with two choices-you can get a thigh cuff for some of the manual models, but that means you have to have someone else take it for you; or you can bite the bullet and spend about $600.00 and up for a commerical model such as the Omron HEM907xl which comes with 4 cuffs including an xl and it self inflates or used hospital model. Yes its alot of money, but well worth it in the long run, esp. if you any family history of hypertension. I bring mine machine to all my MD appointments, as most MD offices are cluless despite all the recent literature regarding this.

American heart association recommends less than 1.8g of dietary sodium daily. Kinda sucks, but maybe worth a try.

Cardio is good as is a low sodium diet. But the low sodium diet only makes a difference for some folks (or to put it anothe way, some of you bastards can eat a chunk of salt and it won't hurt your BP).

Give the excercise a shot (30 minutes of cardio) and see if that helps. Then go to a lower sodium diet and see if that helps. \

Most meds for BP are not gonna work wonders, and most supps are even less effective (probably at least half of the supps don't do ANYTHING). But if this exercise and a low sodium diet doesn't work, then go to your doc and get some drugs. The older ones (that are very inexpensive) are just as good as the expensive new ones. \

In terms of fast food, I eat fast food almost every day - two grilled chicken sandwiches with no mayo. There are healthy options on most menus. But if you get the tripple steak burger, you are clogging your artieries with fat. \

My BP tends to run 150/100 with meds. Just got it tested STANDING UP yesterday and it was 109/69. So there is a lot of varience.

yup i have a feeling it was just that i tried to eat shitty in order to try to gain weight. Lesson learned. I do appreciate all your help on this. Quidproquo for $600 I think i would rather buy another cycle lol thaks anyhow :D

You can get a cuff and monitor at a drug store for under $100 that is fine for what you need. Don't get the real inexpensive ones since I didn't find that they worked well at all. The cuff size can be a probelm if your arms are big. The self-testing one at the drug store that I go to gives the same answers that my doc gets, so not all of them are pieces of crap. But you shoudl still not trust them too much.
