Post w/o soreness

Fellas, when I work out legs, I get so f-ing sore I can't stand it. I trained legs on Mon and still can barely walk today. This shit is driving me nuts as I walk alot of steps at the job and this is starting to wear on me. How long do you guys stay sore after a good leg day? What can you do (besides Ibuprophen) to reduce soreness. I do stretch post w/o btw...

After a heavy day on my wheels i normally will rub a thin layer of BLUE-EMU, its a deep penetrating soothing formula( at least thats what it says on the bottle, lol) It really works for me, its kinda like Icyhot but works much better IMO. It also helps with shin splints if you ever get those.

I find that if I do a lot of walking its better than if I sit around. Personally, I like being sore, But Id almost wonder if your so sore that its really becoming an issue if your overtraining a tad.

How about letting us look at your leg workout??? Sets/ Reps.. any sups...??

Also, whats your protein intake look like? and how much sleep are you getting.

OH one more thing. When Im not on a cycle, I tend to over do it a little till I adjust my routine. When that happens and Im sore as hell, I will sit in a hot tub. Stretch while your in it... really rub that muscle out.

i really never hardly get sore anymore bro i dont know why i can push myself to where i cant fuckin walk when i leave the gym and the next day my quad might be a little tight but thats it. i did chest earlier today till i couldnt hardly move 25's on flys and tomorrow well see but i prob wont be sore why do you think this is just used to being broke down?

Gbart, you probably have more efficient muscles so you don't produce as much lactic acid as a beginner or intermediate bb'er. I find that I don't get as sore that much any more either. I'm probably a masochist I guess--I like being sore. I also don't take any pain relievers except for aspirin since taking ibuprofen or acetaminophen (tylenol) can hinder gains. I have to really push hard to get decently sore now, even for legs, but it sure feels good when I do get sore.

Bump good response, that's exactly what I think.

you also want to be careful when you take ibuprofen or acetaminophen because they can be hard on the stomach and liver... particularly on cycle

yeah i love bein sore gives me a good mindset form the workout but gotta think man im only 21 been training for a solid not slackin at all for a little over 2 years off and on since i was 16 but only 2 years of solid solid training. i wish i would get a little sore every now and then more satisfactory for me you know what i mean? i never take that shit unless my doc prescribes me antiflamatory.

try taking a week off legs (or weights completely).

Then when you come back the following week, lift as heavy a you normally do if you can. Sometimes people are a little weaker their 1st week back training or sometimes a little stronger. Doesnt really matter, you will be sore as hell the next day. The good news is, it only gets worse the following day. :D

and no sissy exercises either....all heavy compound lifts.

yeah I think you need to reevaluate your workout and change it up severly in order to really max out your muscles in a way they aren't used to. Change the order you do your exercises and the number of reps, sets, etc. I have the same problem over the years between boxing/fight training and running, my delts really don't get sore like they used to or like other muscles do. I think it's partly because of the number of fast and slow twitch muscle fibers and how I've taxed all of them in one way or another so much over the years. Since shooting IGF-1 in them though I've noticed a nice amount of new growth and looking forward to getting them nice and sore this afternoon. :)

lol yeah after i get back from cancun this spring break im going to a power lifting routine again for a little over a month i wanna get my deads back up. Im doing a routine ive never even thought about before so that should do the trick hopefully, shock some new growth :> what im countin on anyways. Yea i wish i could run igf more it scares me cause i go so hypo on it i think i might be borderline diabetic or somethin cause its bad on 20 mcg's so prob wont run that anymore wish i could though.

Hey Kdog!! My legs get real sore too and the best thing is stretch, heat, stretch, and stretch. ;) But I found this for you...if you want to give it a shot....
