weight training: extreme low volume

First off, you guys that do DC training...how many days a week do you workout?

Im currently training 3 days a week with BigA's protocol and like it very much. I guess its somewhat similar to DC. Either way, the volume is very low by most standards. But I was wondering if anyone does a typical 3 day split, but workouts only TWO days a week?

By this I mean.

Week 1: 1. legs/calves 2. chest/delt/tri
week 2: 1. back/bi 2. legs/calves
week 3: 1. chest/delt/tri 2. back/bi

etc.

Anyone tried this? is the volume too low? I really do respond well to low volume. im an ectomorph and dont really think I recover slowly, but results while training tell me differently. i.e. I work out less, but gain better.

back thickness

wed
bis
forearms
calves
hams
quads

friday repeat a workout
im also doing cardio on my off days

if you go lurk over on intensemuscle, you will find that dante strongly recommends the two-way split that supermannpc has listed.

How long have you been doing this & what have you noticed as a result, i.e. gains?
 
i just started a few weeks ago and im telling you its a totally different feeling
i havent took any measurments but im feeling pretty thick

I just read a HUGE write up on the training. My only question would be how long should one rest inbetween WARM UP sets?

Hey bro, what do you do to hit your back? I read your link and he(DC) digs the dead lift ALOT....I hate it personally. I know that the t-bar can be used to replace the deadlift (it's in his routine) but what other options are out there to replace the damn deadlift??
 
dead lifts are one of the core excercises bro. Nothing works the lower back like deadlifts do. IMO there isn't a good replacement excercise for them.
 
Damn it I was really hoping I wouldn't get responses like that but I knew I would.

I guess I'll just have to buck up and do the damn thing.
