1. Buy concrete , scuff the inside of PVC pipe to ensure a good grip with the concrete , and fill. The way I have Some dumbell handles , Tested around total weight of 400+lbs each. With a 2.0+ safety factor. I did the tests. get some clamps and epoxy so I can get the pipes how I need them. Either use hose clamps or buy spring collars , 5-15 dollars a pair I need 3 pair. Since my barbell doesnt have any.
Alternative , if the concrete doesnt workout the way I want/need it to , I will melt and fill in bigger piece of PVC since pipe at the diameter I need is hard to find around here and super expensive. This way I have PVC solid rod , Still way strong enough for my purposes. Plan on moving to barbell after 100-200lb on dumbells so going with the flow. Been busy lately.
2. My molds are finished , I just have to buy the concrete , coat the molds with some oil for a mold release agent , let it cure and release.. make sure the holes are the right size to be universal for barbell and dumbells. Weights I think I will coat in PVC. it doesnt stick to itself so guessing im going to have to dip , fully , or dip one side at a time , then go over the seam with a heat gun.
3. Make incline bench , aiming for a 22.5 incline , or close depending on what elbows I can find at lowes hopefully can find something other than 45. But going to design on CAD software and test strength , safety factor , then add in some reinforcement to the frame for added ensurance. going with the flow on this one. bar placement added or seperate , either way usable for squats.
The above steps are equipment to do's I am making sure everything is planned 100% and tested to ensure strength before spending money since money is tight.
NOW for the main event.
4... I will be looking into bodybuilding poses , I know some , but not too much about posing , I think their are like 8 mandatory poses? But I will be looking up on them when I get a chance , try to take some starting pictures of out of shape , "befores" Then try to bring some afters or future progressions. from that point on.
Still unsure of whether I will do these pump or nonpump. Oiled or non oiled. Because I dont want any differences in the pictures other than just my results. I think nonpump would be more accurate display of my results so I will probably aim for that. also non oiled probably also , not as much work as to ensure a good coat over the entire body along with amount of coat and all , then cheaper since its just for results not for show/showoff.
Just have to see how things unfold. Im as far as I can get on my own with most of these items , until I go pick up the materials.
