JDS to fight Shane Carwin now!! Well this freakin' sucks... but he has to take care of his health first and foremost. Damn, though.


Brock Lesnar Bails On UFC 131 Over Stomach Issues

Brock Lesnar has officially pulled out of his big fight at UFC 131 after suffering another flare up from his ongoing stomach condition ... and may undergo "life changing surgery" in the near future.

Brock suffers from a digestive disease called diverticulitis -- which causes extreme stomach pain.

Brock released a statement saying, "I'm not retiring ... I believe there's a solution to every problem, I just gotta find the right solution ... I love this sport."

Brock insists the symptoms aren't as serious as last time, but he couldn't train for his fight against Junior dos Santos at UFC 131 on June 11.

Lesnar was hospitalized back in 2009 due to his medical condition -- and had to reschedule his fight against Shane Carwin. Lesnar whooped Carwin's ass when they fought a few months later.

Lesnar is currently being treated at the famous Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

UFC honcho Dana White announced Junior will now fight Carwin at the big event in June.
 
I wouldnt say Lesnar "whooped Carwins ass" Lesnar got his ass kicked than slipped in a choke after an exhausted Carwin couldnt defend a takedown. Well I was unsure who I was going for, If Brock was champ I woulda went for JDS but I was undecided since he wasnt now I will Be going for Carwin!
 
Yeah, I got this from an entertainment gossip site (clearly it wasn't written by an MMA or sports journalist!) I wouldn't say that either, considering Carwin came the closest to KO'ing Lesnar's ass until Velasquez came along.
 
Yeah im pretty sure if he wins thats the next step, bc im almost positive the initial Lesnar vs JDS winner was getting a title shot
 
The fight between JDS and Carwin is still supposed to be a #1 contender's match.
 
man poor Lesnar can't get a break, I thought that he was over his illness completely

My money is on Carwin and I hope he wins and becomes the next champion

I don't get why Lesnar loses a fight, wins the next fight and is back in the title shot. It's like he never falls from grace. I know he's a great threat for the title anytime he's in the cage, but damn, he's not that good

I know he brings in the money, but he'd bring in the same money for a non-title fight as he would for a title fight

I hear ya... I'm not disagreeing. I don't know why they don't make him fight his way back to the top, just like anyone else... just the way the sport works? :confused:

Lesnar, Cain, Carwin, Junior and that's about it...

yeah you have Big Nog and Mir but their not gonna put asses in the seats the way the other 4 are...

Well now that UFC and Strikeforce are semi-combined, they could always bring over Fedor, Overeem, "Big Foot" Silva, etc... I mean, if they're talking about a fight between Diaz and GSP, then it only makes sense that they would mix up the HWs also...
 
yeah for sure, bc strikeforce has more HW's with talent over there. I hope diaz whoops gsp's ass bc that pussy should be going up to 185 now that he beat shields to face silva

I wouldn't really say he beat Shields. I truly believe Shields beat himself, that fight was there for the taking and he did nothing. Maybe GSP would've still won had it went to the ground, but I just don't think so.
 
And yes, I know the class isn't stacked, but it's still BS that he loses and his next fight is a #1 contender fight. There's always others to fight, they need to get the SF fuckers over in that class soon
