over 40 and still killing it

Man, i hit 40 years old and it was like running into a brick wall. Who here is still killing it after 40????

I was told when you hit 30 your endurance and recovery cuts in half-when you hit 40 it cuts in half again

mine was about 32 can't fucking wait till I hit 40

Over 40 here and still getting after it.....not killing it but something to be said for muscle maturity for sure.....lifting smarter not harder these days

Waaaay over 40 here, and lifting much smarter. My goal now is to hit the muscle, but not kill it. It takes more time for muscle recovery the older you get. Less weight and higher reps keeps me in the game. Less time blasting and more time cruising.

55 bro. Still going heavy. Sholders are shot though, lol. I dropped 30 lbs, from 233 to about 203. At 233 I was packing
a gut (not real big) but kept telling myself how strong I was. Switched jobs, and less food. At 203 I am trying to keep
using the heavy weights but I now have abbs. Gotta love that. Gotta say holding most of the muscle and it feels good
with the small waist. Trying to put few more lbs on but keep the abbs. At this age I want to at least keep what I got. lol
Also at the lighter weight I am feeling REAL light on my feet. I just have kept it up, try to eat decent but never deprive
myself and I feel great. Dont plan on letting up and I am still always trying to improve. Nothing but time bro. One more
thing, I dont spend too much time in the gym. 45 min to little over hour for a long one and I dont get burned out.
AND, most important, old broads are easily impressed and there are very few older guys in good shape. Life is good. lol

43 yrs old ...started getting serious about in my workouts 8 months ago. have went from 21.4% body fat to 10.9% in that 8 months...thats a total of 10.5% body fat lost and I have also gained 5 lbs over my begining weight. getting realy close to having ABS for the first time since I was 27 and only weighed 132# then..LOL

So..YES I have been Killing it!!!

Im 51, I was at my strongest when i was 36, ...455 lb bench, I cant say i didn't add anymore muscle after 40, because i priority trained my bi's and bought them up quite a bit, but like most my joints are pretty worn, so i pre-exhaust my chest, ill start out on incline bench with 95lbs. And go something like this . 95...125...155....185....215... 245...275.... Then 315 till failure. On cycle ill put 2 35lb plates on each side and 10... 10lb plates on each side, and have my girl take 1 ten off each side after each set, Wow, freakin love that. You gotta picture a grey haired guy at Golds gym training next to guys half his age,. I can still go hard and heavy with my back tho, my fav. Bodypart. Just no bent barbell rows, can still do dumbell rows ,one arm with 150's. Thats why i love bodybuilding, you can train till you die, which will probobly be 10yrs longer due to training.

im not far of 40..and still kill it..most young pups are pretty shocked when i tell em im nearly 40..shoulder and knees feel 50.lol..i had big respect for older guys in the gym when i was in my 20 and now the shoe is on the other foot so to speak.

yall are making me feel young lol im about to be 32 and hope i still train hard at 40. i definitely am starting to train smarter because of the small injuries i have experienced already. i can still get stupid at times and over do it acting like im 20 again
