Do you carb cycle?

I wanted to see who is carb cycling and what your method is. I have been using the low-70, medium-120, high-210. Try to do the low 2-3 days in a row then a meduim, repeat. Try to only use the high day when I have a cheat meal. Which I try to avoid but we all have our weakness, haha.

I was talking to a guy who use to compete. He said he would only do one carb meal a day! But he didn't do cardio. That would be hard for me! Any of you do this? He put it first thing in the morning. I would be more tempted to have it pre or post workout.
 
I do a daily carb cycle! Fast most of the day from carbs, then before the gym i carb load, works great for me, been doing this for years now and my body responds super well to cycling carbs daily! I can honest to GOD literally see my muscles start filling out after i eat my carbs before the gym, they just balloon up daily and veins start popping before i step into the gym, and I'm super glad i found what worked for me, as its kept me in great shape for years now!
 
I've recently tried doing the daily carb cycle but by 3pm, I'm ready to eat my arm. No matter how much protein or fat I eat, I feel famished mid afternoon. I dont do my weights until 6ish, so I dont want to eat carbs until 5 or so, but I cant stand it. How do you do it Presser? Is there a trick to getting the body used to it?

Wow. So you only eat one meal of carbs everyday! How long before your workout and how much? I'm guessing they are complex.

No way I could do that. I crave carbs from the time that I wake till the time I go to bed. When I actually do cut carbs, im a mother fucher to be around.

yep and truth be told is i don't eat much of anything from the time i wake up til dinner time! Ill have a shake here or there, and maybe some eggs for breakfast, but normally i don't eat shit, and when i do i load the fuck up on oatmeal flavored packs, and whatever else i can find to cram in my mouth with simple and complex carbs right after i take my igf, and i start seeing and feeling my muscles expand and then i know its time to leave for the gym, get to gym load up on 1 or 2 carbo forces, then hit the weights, and during my workout i drink 50/50 carb/ protein drink, then after training i load up my protein

Everytime someone in the gym or where ever asks me what i eat and how i eat, no one ever believes me, they think I'm fucking with them, i don't know why it works for me, but it does, i could never cram down 5 or 6 meals a day, I'm lucky to get down 2 solid meals in a day, IF IM LUCKY! LOL

i know its strange, or goes against original thinking but i love it

I read an article that some guy wrote that said the only time you really need to carb up is before a workout and after...the rest of the day just get in a couple solid meals, eat like a normal person

all this about eating 5-6 huge meals a day is for the pros that are taking a ton of stuff

Ya that is crazy for sure! Especially by the looks of your Avi! I gotta do the 5 or 6 meals a day or I shrink. haha

Yeah i really started growing when i started carb cycling daily, you should give it a go, i know a few other guys on here do it this way too and say it took them to a new level. You get use to it, after a while you won't even wanna eat that much or you'll get sick lol,

I can agree if your talking about a someone that just wants to stay fit. If your talking about bodybuilding then that isn't true at all! (unfortunately) You have to eat big to get big. BB have to eat well above TDEE to put on muscle. Not to mention meeting macro requirements. 250-300 grams of protein isn't gonna be done in a couple meals or shouldn't be. So maybe the guy writing the article was referring to a recreational lifter. If he was referring to a BB then you have been mislead my friend.

thats incorrect bro and a pro just wrote an article on the 6 meals a day being bullshit! someone here posted it in articles forum i think it was, you can't eat like a bird, you still need to get your protein and carbs in for sure, but as long as you cycle it right, you will grow like a weed, that 6 meals a day and 50k calories is bullshit.

when i say "that much" i mean that many times per day, again u still need a certain amount of protein and carbs to grow, but you do NOT need to eat 6 meals a day

Didn't take any offense brotha. I was working. I do want to get a better understanding of what your talking about. If I can get off the 6 meal a day plan and still get the same or better results, well hell I am all for it! Shit is a pain in my ass! I am still fuzzy on what your saying though. So you are saying you still need macros.
Example: My LBM is 155. Therefore my protein requirement is 225-300. (1.5-2 grams per lb of lbm). So you are saying I can eat that much protein over 3 meals instead of 6? In essence what your saying is all the food I eat in 6 meals could or should be doubled up into 3 meals right? Cause I still have to get the calories to grow.

Also the carb cycling daily I am a little fuzzy on too. (maybe sniffed to much paint thinner yesterday, haha) So the only carbs you eat are pre-workout and during workout right? None after? What about non-workout days? Hopefully you can hash this out for me, lol.
 
Its on an individual level. Some can some cant. Personally carbs make me gain weight. I have to count hem and I love carbs. I also love fats and protein. I like cake to. carb cycling is where its at though. Then again its energy in energy out. Im counting now though. Calories only though, 2500 a day for now. will get more specific as time goes by, with sweet potatoes as my fav. I wish I was one of these bean poles but im not,
