There was an article on the internet that says Payton was playing with a torn thigh muscle. It was his right thigh and that hindered his passing ability. There was also talk that he may be considering retiring. He is 38 years old. That is getting a little old to be playing in the NFL.
Archie Manning had 3 sons. Payton , Eli and Colt. They all played at the same high school. Payton and Eli were stars in college, but Colt never was and never made it into the NFL. Archie may be the only person to play in the NFL and have 2 sons play also.

Yeah they said he was playing with a complete ruptured rectus femoris I cant even imagine being QB for an NFL team the whole game like that. Geez with all the neck problems etc. I wouldn't be surprised if he retired, but I hope he comes back and can leave on a superbowl win in the next couple years. I have always been a small Cowboys fan, minus Jerry Jones (hate him) so I was rooting for them, and in my opinion Bryant did get fucked on that call.
