Good fats vs bad fats issue`

When you are determining your daily fat allowance, do you seperate the saturated fats from the unsaturated ones? Since the good fats (latter) dont effect body fat as a rule, what limits, if any do you put on the good ones?

When I would diet for shows, I would cut my fats down under 30g daily, and i did NOT differentiate between the two fats.

good fats dont effect body fat?? huh??

calories are calories.. you eat too many good fats youll get fat, i promise lol...

but yes, as a rule you should balance out your saturated/unsaturated fats..

the only fats you would avoid completely are trans fats (though studies have shown certain people have already created an enzyme naturally that breaks it down, gotta love evolution and the bodies adaptability)...

remember that its not that we want to avoid saturated fats, but control them.. saturated fats play a very vital role in the bodies day to day funcitons (including natural test production!!)

I take Parrillo MCT oil which is 100% fat and it wont have any negative effect on bodyfat, then again its technically not a "real food", but yes I agree you cant go overboard on the good fats for sure. When you say balance, what precent of good/bad would you try to fall in to? As Presser stated, 30 grams pre-contest at most is about right so how would you divide that? 50\50??

mct oil is great for the body.. but take enough of it and you will get fat... i want to clarify this..

mct oil isn't a negative caloric impact food... as in it doesn't take more to burn mct oil than the energy it gives... you will gain weight having taken enough caloies to go into a surplus.. even if it was on a pure mct oil diet

mct oil is a real food.. as real as it gets.. because its a nutrient.. a part of the 3 macronutrients of food and nutrition..

and you threw in a new word in there brother.. pre contest?? when did pre contest get involved with this thread?? big difference between daily needs and pre contest

OK I accept that although the manufactor states you cant get fat, I suppose like you said "take enough of it" is key. Yes its a macro, I guess what I meant was its not real food in its not meat etc as in something tangable, as in solid food that you can chew.

If I can get an idea to pre contest levels, (I know theres lots of variables here) I can get an idea of where I need to be during off season. Thanks for the info!

BTW I'm gonna email you, if Presser lets you here, thats creditable enough for me. I'll try and get to it tommorrow OK?

sure brother... i'd love to talk about working with you [email protected]

this is a very vague question... there are so many variables.. are you keto?? carb cycle?? what anabolics are involved?? what are your stats.. your daily needs..

how far out from show?? 12 weeksout is much different than 2 weeks out..

u see the issue?
