Obesity being considered a disease---My prediction...

Now that this is considered a disease in this Country, how much would you like to wager that unemployed individuals with half a brain will now get fatter to start collecting disability checks?

This WILL raise premiums, slow ER times, slow procedure and test times w/in hospitals, and jeopardize healthcare workers health and jobs.
Butttttttttttttt we are #1.................

How is it that this Disease is only hitting America? Yep, your right its going to get worse. I'll be taking chickens and eggs for my services soon, damn Obama Care.

Obama care isn't in effect until January 2014, this is unrelated.
My back fucking hurts, I am tired of huge fucks. A 5 foot 2 inch female patient shouldnt usually be over 200 lbs, but they are.
You know when I really started getting into UFC events in 2005 I was like wow the 205 guys are huge, I wanna be that size.....
Now the average woman above 38 is at least that weight, wtf.

Everything is made a disease so they can treat it and remove the responsibility away from the person. It's not your fault you were born that way. So you ate 15 krispy creme donuts every night before bed. It just wasnt your fault, you were born fat, the donuts were only a symptom to the disease. Same thing with alcoholics its not there fault, yada yada yada. Most fat people are lazy and just eat what ever they want, I can't do that and I don't.

if obesity is a disease and bodybuilders are obese according to BMI charts, does this mean we no longer have to work and can get disability for being big and ripped?

Irish haha I sure as hell hope so , Imagine all the beast mother fuckrs just walking around with nothing to do but lift? lol

We could get handy crippled parking, front row seating, no wait time at the amusement parks. Gov. Subsidies, I'm fat damn it, it's not my fault I'm this big, it's a disease.... You gonna eat that?

hahahaha that's great

Get a physchiatrist to say you are addicted to lifting weights and and if u dont do it 12 hrs a day u get uncontrolled anxiety. Golden ticket right there

I was just thinking this, I should get disability then and all the other gov. benefits these fat fuckers would get. hell I would even be cheaper because I don't need all the meds they take for their BP, diabetes, etc...

The sad part is i see people all the time who are on disability and cant even tell me why they are on it. Seriously...

Working in triage for X amount of time only you could imagine most likely out of everyone on here what I have heard. Emergency def has different meanings to the general population.

Oh ya bro. Nothing like Mom bringing her little dirtballs in to the ER for tylenol. Wouldnt want to spend the $4 at walgreens

Or on the rare occasion that we had a wait---
Mom brings son into ER for an ear ache that was there in 2pm, than acted like it was the end of the world, so it's like if it were this bad why did you wait until right after urgent cares close to come here? coincidence? I think not.
Or this was the best
Me: What brings you into the ER today
Guy: Back pain
Me: where is the pain
Guy : all over my back
Me when did it start?
Guy: 30 years ago
Me: What changed recently to make you choose to come to the ER today
Guy: Nothing has changed, same pain for the last 30 years.
This shit is retarded but real....... All the damn time. I wish there were 2 doors in that ER behind triage, door #1 is an Urgent care door #2 is an ER and triage determines which they go to.... Until this happens the medical field will continue to get worse.

Well if that dude went to the er here in cal the cost would be 12,500 for an er visit
yeah, and what if he didn't pay it? and if he came back again we have something, I think nation wide called EMTALA you MUST treat anyone coming into the ED that wants treatment

Yep, EMTALA - The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act
covers hospitals that take agreement payments, Medicare /Medicaid and the like which really means every hospital in the US, with the exception of the Shriners Hospital for crippled children and military hospitals. You have to treat the pt and you can't dump them off to a charity hospital if they can't pay. A lot of people use the ER as their primary care physician, very bad practice.
