Cruise questions -help

The Dude and I are planning to go on a cruise later this year. We went on one last March and had a blast!! That was Royal Caribbean. My question is, who here has a preference as to which cruise line they choose? Is there any one that's better than the others? I hear some have a younger crowd and are more fun than others. Like I said, RC was very nice with fun activities onboard. About 10+ years before that, I went on a Carnival cruise, however I went with boring people which kinda ruined the experience for me. I remember the ship being nice though. Anyway, just wondering if there's a difference or if they're all pretty much the same. Thanks in advance :)

You really should! It's so much fun and you meet so many friendly people. Everyone's happy on a cruise! (because there's free ice cream!)

I've had mixed reviews for all the ones I've been on. Next time you are at Wal Mart take a pic of all the people that are waiting in line to check out. That's who you are going to get to spend a whole week with on a boat!

The last few Carnival cruises for me have been old folks. Just pick a cruise with lots of stops that way you can get off and find the crowd you are looking for.

No... It's not that bad IMO. Besides, I'd like to think of myself as more of a "Target" kinda girl anyway, lol
Sounds like you've given up on cruises, but if not, maybe try a different cruise line. I hear RC is more of a younger crowd and like I said earlier, we did have so much fun. I'd say we probably hung out with people we met on the ship MORE than the friends we actually went with.

do your homework especially on the food they serve, I've never been on one but I've heard of people that say if you pick the wrong cruise the food sucks

what kind of cruise are you looking for? I had a boss in FL that went on a cruise off the coast for a week and loved it-last day his wife hit the slots and won all their money back

That's lucky! We're not big gamblers though. I've been on 2 week long cruises, both out of FL. Not looking for any one in particular right now. Just wondering if anyone had a preference as far as the different cruise lines out there. We'll probably stick with Royal Caribbean at this point since we enjoyed that. Like you said, I'm still going to do some research before I commit.
As far as the food, I know with RC if you don't like your meal you can get something else or the opposite, if you like a meal, you could ask for 2! That's for the more formal dinners too. They definitely try and keep you happy and well fed.

Only went on one, and got in great shape bc I thought cruise ships were like how hollywood portrays them......... I was top 3 best shape on that boat. The pool was totally full with 6 people in it, 6 great white whales

also lesson learned: Do not lift heavy in a cruise. The movement of the boat that you don't feel will kill your stabilizers.

LOL that's just a joke I like to tell about cruise ships. I haven't given up actually we've been looking at the Carnival Vista for a trip out of Miami, Fl. The eating can get really expensive if you go high end on it and some of the ships have great chefs and fantastic aged steaks.

Been on 6 cruises and RC was the best compared to carnival. I prefer all inclusives if that have the food of the cruise ships.......not a huge fan of the constant talking over the speakers in your room. I like to sit on a beach and relax, ships are way more busy.

Bro our cruise was insane... lots of people our age.. and a couple girls REALLY liked Silk... I felt lIke a celebrity. It was seriously so amazing thwt I truly don't think it's possible for another cruise to be so amazing. I can't put into words how amazing it was... it was the best time I have ever had in my life and I've done some fun shit!!

Soooo how much did they LIKE Silk? Also did they LIKE Silk and The Dude at the same time?

RC is definitely better than carnival. Stick with them. Its the best for the younger crowd. Carnival is more for families

IMO ... I have done the cruise thing to Cozumel way too crowded on a ship for me they herd you like cattle. I prefer Jamaica couples Negril absolutely amazing place . I have been there 5 times. did not like the Bahamas trashy. mexico just too damn many drug lords there right now. I have Mexican guys that work for me and they don't even want to go back right now its so bad. I love being able to put my feet in the sand and watch the waves come in!!!

Haha... No. Like you said, I was stuck on that ship for a week with those people and didn't want any drama and/or awkward sober encounters the following days, lol... Besides, I have more fun being a tease so I left it at that ;)

Yeah, that's what I seem to be hearing the more people I speak to. Looks like we'll be sticking with Royal Caribbean. Thanks for the help everyone!

Now who's ready for a cruise?!? LOL

Carnival used to be the younger party crowds back in the late 90s. Now it seems RC has taken that title.
