Baking soda has so many uses but who would ever have thought that it would be good for Bodybuilding and Weightlifting?

</center>Baking Soda (Bicarbonate) can be used for many things, cleaning floors, polishing silver, deodorizing refrigerators, shower drains, sinks, brushing teeth, gargle, and cleaning laundry.

Our bodies are full of acid and the past few years there’s been people selling alkaline water to neutralize the acid. The water is expensive and has pretty far fetched claims.

I sat thru a seminar on it for a free meal, and after over an hour they said that you could get the same results using lemon in water. I want to add the meal wasn’t worth the wait and I sure wasn’t going to buy a $5,000 machine to make the water.

</center>It’s true that adding lemon to water can do the trick. Lemons are not acidic but they are alkaline and not many people know that. Baking soda can do the same. Have you ever poured baking soda and water on your car battery terminals and watch the acid foam up and disappear? This is how it works.

</center>If you have an acid stomach a spoonful of baking soda and water will work instantly. It also can be good for bug bites, sunburns and refreshing your breath.

Bicarbonate can be found in Veggies and Fruits as well. Apples. raisins, carrots, and more.

</center>Now taking 2 teaspoons with water of Baking Soda before your workout can increase your endurance and repetitions as well as get rid of the lactic acid build up in the muscle. Bottom line is it can improve your workouts.

</center>Give it a try and see how you like it. I’m certainly going to add it to my supplements.

I have used it for the 3200m, It works as far as lactic acid.
As far as lifting though, to me , if your goal is hypertrophy then you want more lactic acid.
Studies have shown that the higher the lactic acid build up and occlusion of muscle the more hypertrophy signal there is.
So in my mind if you add sodium bicarbonate , you will get more reps, but less growth response to those said reps...

So for me I would only use it if I need to compete is a specific condition where lactic acid buildup is a major inhibiting factor(like the 3200m).

Baking Soda is an old trick , used at the combine for the max rep totals for each position. Guys were able to go from repping 225lbs for a good extra 5 or 6 reps. So when the lactic acid built up and told your muscles thats it bitch were done, well the baking soda helped keep that lactic acid build up down as long as possible,

I have seen guys practice repeatedly and always burn out at around the same number of reps, say 25 or 26 and then hit above 30 consistantly when they drank a concoction of this shit lmao

and the Lineman of course would just drink the powder right out of the fucking arm and hammer box lol, cause i guess lineman need to keep up appearnaces ((crazy)) lmao

I also think its been professionally marketed into a drink that is suppose to taste good, or decent, but back in the day 21 years ago , it was just straight up Baking Soda

It works very nicely, but the problem is choking this stuff down and the gastic distress it causes for 5-10 minutes after intake..................the only solution i have found it to cap it in "00" capsiles and then take before working out. I get a few burps but nothing like pharachuting this stuff.
