Im just making sure that I dont overtrain , so me doing 200 pushups every monday wednesday and friday before I go to bed along with the routine we do at school which is posted somewhere else in this forum. I wont be overtraining? Also how often should I run? whenever I get a chance to go to the gym I run as long as I can on the treadmill starting at 7.5mph or faster till my legs start getting tired and I lower speed a little till I feel a REALLY HARD BURN.... So how often should I be running?

If your trying for mass you should only do cardio twice a week at most for 15-20 minute intervals. This is once your warmed up you go at an accelerated rate for that time period. It is proven that 15 minutes is the minimum time for cardio effectiveness. Limit it because you don't want to burn too many calories. Too many push up too if you are going for mass. They help when there is nothing else available, with endurance and they help you do more push ups. Do push ups as a warmup to your chest workout. That is all you should need. If you want more information try looking up Dorian Yates workout priciples on the web. I found these very informative for mass gaining. Highly recommend the DY principles!

I know you're looking to go into Sports at school and if that's the case then the pushups are helping but the way you're running needs some work. 7.5 mph is 8:00 minute a mile pace and too fast to be making gains for endurance(unless you're running for 30 - 40 minutes at that pace) and too slow to be making speed gains. You should run at a more comfortable pace that your legs don't burn and interject some speed intervals into it that you take up to a very fast pace and hold for 2 minutes and then come back down for 2 minutes. You can do this 8 times after warming up and it will give you a great speed and endurance workout. I wouldn't do it more than twice a week and just jog on the other days.

an example speed workout would be:
6mph (10:00 minute/mile pace) for 5 minutes warm up then

8 x 2 minutes HARD with 2 minutes recovery

Hard should be 10mph(6:00 minute/mile pace) for 2 minutes

I think you would be overtraining. More is not always better.

Ya malic, cut the pushups... You have access to free weights. Just use them, give your body 5 days to recoupe, then hit that muscle again.

Your body needs time to grow.
