What do you guys think. Ive been doing my cardio in the morning this week and going to continue. Chris's link about 300% more fat loss got me wanting to do it lol. I have a hard time not taking anything in before going not because im hungry yeah i am but thats not a big deal. I just feel like with no bcaa's or protein somehow im going to burn some muscle and the bcaas will help. Will the drink hinder the fat loss by taking you out of the fasted state? I know theres no carbs in the bcaa's but obviously there is some cals so what are your thoughts? Do you go completely fasted and just pound some protein post cardio or what?

Good to know! That article got me going this morning and now I have a wake-up call for tomorrow so I can make this fasted cardio a habit!

I had a 0cal energy drink and a fat burner this morning... plus, of course I brought my water. I just needed to have something. Since I'm on a limited diet, I just waited until I got to work (about 2 hours later) to eat my first meal of the day. Drinking my Chain'd Out instead of an energy drink might be a better replacement though...

does chained out have energy booster in it? If not you could easily get by taking both. If it doesnt have cals then your good to go and some of the bcaa's will be in your system quickly to counter catabolism this is how i see it anyways starting my clen tomorrow time to burn some fat.

Nope, no caffeine or cals!! Sweet... I'll be trying this tomorrow!

I hear ya on the clen. I've been taking Aqua Burn for 3 or 4 weeks now. Initially lost some weight (to be expected on any diet though, right?) and now I've been at a stubborn plateau for TWO freakin' weeks! So frustrated... hoping it starts showing its effects soon! I can't possibly take a higher dose than I already do because I already have days where my hand shakes and I don't want people at work to notice and question me about it... Wish I worked for a gym or supplement company, damnit!!

I've always done my cardio first thing in the morning in a fasted state (as close as I get as I eat 2 - 3 times at night). I noticed much less effect on muscle tissue when I slammed 10g of BCAA's before. So now my routine is 10g of amino's and an ECA or clen. Of course, its been a while since I've done cardio.

Yep Chained out is the best BCAA formula out right now..Even though it doesnt have Caffine in it, it gets me up and ready to do cardio...

What makes it the best? Ratios? Quality? Please elaborate if you can. Thanks

+1 i wanna know as well. Im using Lg sciences and the blend is about the same as most other hyped products. Better then scivatioon as well. I think next im just gonna buy about 4kg's of bcaas from the bulk powder supplement sponsor here hell of alot better deal and you get the 3 main amino's in there in good proportion.

The only reason i posted this is because of the list of bcaa's by this alone i would rather have Scivation personally it looks better to me by quite a bit. The price deal you cant go by since they are speaking msrp and their supp's go way below that at supp stores. Taste i dont really care about as longa s it does the job

Scivation Xtend vs ALRI Chain’d Out

Question:
Based on the ingredients, which is better product — ALRI Chain’d Out or Scivation Xtend? Thanks. Nick E. from San Ramon, CA
Answer:
That’s a good question, Nick, as these products are rather similar. So let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Scivation Xtend Ingredients
The exact ingredients and their amounts are straightforward with Scivation Xtend.
Serving size: 11.5 g
Total BCAA’s per serving: 7.1
L-leucine: 3.5 g
L-isoleucine: 1.8 g
L-valine: 1.8 g
Other Ingredients:
L-glutamine: 2.5 g
Citrulline Malate: 1 g
Vitamin B6: 10 mg
ALRI Chain’d Out Ingredients
ALR industries is a bit more evasive about the precise amount of ingredients in their product Chain’d Out. They only list the total amount of ‘proprietary’ ingredients in the product.
At first glance it would look like there are 7 g (or 7,000 mg as they call it) of BCAA (branched chain amino acids) in the product. However, this is not the case. the BCAA’s (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) in Chain’d Out are bound to malate. Thus, you have to take into account the molecular weight of the malate to which the amino acids are attached to figure out exactly how much BCAA are in the product. Don’t worry, Nick, I’ve done the chemistry and math for you.
Serving size: 8.91 g
Total of malate-bound BCAA’s per serving (BCAA Malfactor 211 Matrix as they call it): 7 g
Total BCAA’s per serving: 3.38 g*
leucine: 1.7 g
isoleucine: 0.86 g
valine: 0.82 g
Other ingredients: total 1,800mg
Alanine
L-theanine
CordyActiv (Dong Chong Xia Cao)
RhoActiv (Rhodiola Rosea Extract)
AppleActiv (Apple Peel Extract)
It’s impossible to tell how many milligrams of the other ingredients there are because they list them together as a proprietary blend.
ALRI claims that they use a superior your form of BCAA that are 200-300% more bioavailable, but they do not give any studies or evidence to support those claims. They do, however, quote studies which support the effectiveness of supplementing with BCAA’s. But, to my knowledge, all of these studies use regular free form BCAA’s. Hmmm…
So which is better?
In terms of ingredients, I far prefer Xtend, because it has citrulline malate and L-glutamine, both of which are good, no-nonsense supplements.
As for the additional ingredients in Chain’d Out: if I’m going to take herbal supplements like rhodiola rosea, I prefer… make that demand… to know how much I’m taking.
Ingredients winner — Xtend
I calculated the cost per gram of BCAA in each product and Xtend is less than HALF the price of Chain’d Out. Plus, you can get Xtend at bodybuilding.com would for just a bit over HALF of it’s retail price. For some reason they stopped carrying Chain’d Out.
Note: I realize that both of these products contain more than just BCAA’s, but since both are primarily considered BCAA products, that’s how I chose to compare the prices of the two.
Price winner — Xtend
As far as taste, I have not tried Chain’d Out, but I hear the Appletini flavor tastes very good. And the same goes for Xtend, which I have tried. But to be honest, I could not care less about how good my BCAA supplement tastes. If it’s priced right and will help me achieve my goals, I’ll drink it… even if it tastes like chalk dust! Come to think of it, the custom-made BCAA concoction that I and many of my clients use DOES taste a lot like chalk dust!
Taste winner — Tie ( in case you care)
Summary
I admit that I tend to pick apart brand-name supplements and/or their marketing practices (somebody has to, right?). But I have to hand it to Scivation – Xtend is a great, no-nonsense supplement that is fairly priced. And although I damn sure wouldn’t trust bodybuilding.com customers to choose my supplements, it’s still quite a complement to Scivation that Xtend was voted Recovery Supplement of the Year in 2009.
Nick, in case you were daydreaming (or wanted a short answer) and are still wondering which product I think is better, Xtend or Chain’d Out, the answer is Xtend.
~ Dr Clay
* These calculations were made based on the ratio of leucine to isoleucine to valine being 2:1:1 and that the molecular weights of the ingredients are: malate – 134.09 g/mol; leucine — 131.17 g/mol; isoleucine – 131.17 g/mol; valine — 117.15 g/mol.

What would be the ideal proportion you would want them in? You can custom mix your own blend at trueprotein.

Everyone has their own preference really the bulk im talking about comes equally split 33.3 % for each l-leucine, l-isoleucine, and l-valine

Actully I like the taste alot from the Chained out...Although I have the Xtend to and I like that to...To be honest I mix them 2 scp. each and drink it during my workouts and cardio...I probably use about 8 scp. a day total

Both of the products you posted about have basically a 50/25/25 ratio (leucine/isoleucine/valine). You think 33/33/33/would be better? I don't know a whole lot about BCAAs.

Yeah that was the big problem i didnt like about the Lg stuff its cheaper but it doesnt have any flavor hardly. Taste like lightly flavored water when you drink it. I liked xtend because it had a great strong taste to it. I just cant afford these products like this anymore though i go through too many of them i have like 3 servings a day 1 for cardio 1 on the way to the gym and 1 during. I think going the bulk route is gonna be the best way for me. Not quite as much stuff in there but the mix of amino's is more balanced for sure.

I honestly dont know to tell you truth bro, i cant see it being that big of a deal. Its going to be much cheaper this way, and i know they are pure and a good product so thats probably what im gonna go for. Im gonna check TP first though i havent seen their prices yet.

Are those the best times to take in BCAAs? Is 3 servings a day average? Now that I'm at a new job it's hard to have time to eat as much so I thought some BCAAs and maybe some LBAs may help on busy days.

Its again kinda personal preference i think its needed for cardio for sure just to keep some in you and theres no glycogen like mentioned in this thread so it wont spike insulin or anything. I take it before i leave and on the drive to the gym which is 20 minutes or a bit longer so that they will start really being absorbed by the time i start hitting it same reasoning as drinking it during workout just to keep them readily available to the muscles. Alot of people just take them before or during workouts its up to the person really. I think this way will work good for me so im sticking to it for now.

So you think 1 servings 20-30 minutes before and sip on 1 servings while training would be good?

I usually sip on my creatine while training. Can I mix the two together and sip on them at the same time?
