Design your workout for you.

I have picked up on this more and more. Every workout is designed for what I need and can I feel it working the target muscles. Dont just try stuff because you read it somewhere or becasue the big guy in the gym does it. Know your weak areas and attack them. Make sure you feel each movement. IF you dont, then dont do it and find an excercise that does. Try different hand and feet postions aswell. If you feel you can do twice a week, then do it. Just dont be a robot in the gym, and make the most of it every time you walk through the doors.

Very good information that everyone needs to know and/or use...I actually used to have planned days of the week, whereas now I have a general idea, but go by how my body feels, what areas are sore or recovered, im far more strategic about it...Some weeks I might hit legs 2x per week, or sometimes I blast them so hard I only do them 1x in 10 days...

I think everyone needs to learn the mental aspect of lifting and how it corresponds to ultimate growth in your body, this is a good tip that Nuk posted, good reminder.

totally agree...sometimes training with someone can hurt you...if they are only concerned about themself...You need to get the most out of the workout, for you...If you got weak legs, then you might need to hit them 2 x a week, or whatever...
