honestly i don't get it about carb cutoffs......i can't sleep without carbs before bedtime and i don't think it makes me any leaner to not eat them before bed....i do try to keep it light though and stick to veggies before bed when dieting....otherwise it's a full hefty meal offseason....

im naturally such a beanpole i have to get up a few times during the night for a pb and j or some yogurts.

I eat carbs at night. Your metablism isn't going to work in the same way without fuel. People are gonna argue but using sensible low glycemic stuff, I don't think is an issue if your calories and macros are ok.

This is how i feel, but when its showtime, my athletes better not be taking them in unless its prep week. For everyday use, just dont go overboard and im a big fan of glycemic control

depends on the person metabolism...I believe some people can get away with it, some carbs (slower carbs like oats, brown rice, veges) but other's need to cut them out earlier in the day...it really comes down to that person and his metabolism

I would agree with Chris250.

Another vote for it being individualized.
I've actually gone from no carbs at night and 2300cal. day to more carbs all day and night and 3,000cal and actually lost bf during a diet. Carbs are just a tool, the trick is finding out how to use them to your advantage.

Besides the individualization of it, it also depends on what diet you're doing and when you train.....if you're carb backloading then nighttime is when you pound the carbs, if you workout late in the afternoon or in the evening then carbs at night is no big deal,

I agree that its individualized. Personally at night I don't limit egg whites or celery with natural peanut butter.

I have a cut off point for carbs at night. At night my last meal is usually around 10pm wihich consists of some protein since it burns more calories to process helps my muscles and usually keeps you feeling full longer. If I do eat carbs at night its mostly in the form of vegetables. Nothing like celery at 2 am..lol

I eat SHIT LOADS of carbs at night, and I will wake up a couple times a night and eat more carbs, usualy i big table spoon of peanutbutter and then I dip it into my apple butter and then eat it, and i will eat about 6 of those, lmao.

What can I tell ya, i eat like shit! Then again Im not getting ready for any shows and im just trying to lose a few pounds, which im sure would go alot faster if I didnt eat so shitty, lol

Thats funny you say that my woman does the same thing then gets up earyl does 2 hours of cardio and bitches she isnt losing any weight. i walk in after the gym and see her eating a tub of ice cream and doritos. She hasnt gained any but sure isnt losing any either. i think its one of those things you push for so long doing shows and looking your best you just say fuck it for a while. Plus PB and apple butter tastes damn good!
