what do you think is the best way to find a primary care physician that would be willing to do things like HRT for someone in mid or late 20s?

Your primary care dr isnt the one who prescribes the HRT, I think you have to go to a Urologist, atleast thats where I would have to go with my insurance and what not

urologist? thats where you go when you have kidney stones and shit

no idea bro, i just know when i seen the fertility dr and they found i had low sperm count and low testosterone levels, the doctor told me i would have to see a urologist to get prescribed testosterone for HRT because my testosterone and sperm count were permanently low!

So I am just going by what I was told, but im almost certain ur regualr family dr doesnt usualy prescribe the test for hrt.

I do know alot of Plastic surgeons prescrobe testosterone for men, the same docotrs that do breast augmentation and such

Wow well my buddies stepdad is a urologist sooooooo maybe thats a good thing lol

You need to find an endocrinologist for HRT.

Lol maybe that's what my fertility dr said. Sound more appropriate and familiar come to think about it but could of swore my dr said urologist. Anyone know what a urologist goes?

They study the urinary tract, and genitals/reproductive systems of males and females so there is some overlap with an endo who is basically a hormone doctor. Perhaps a urologist could prescribe HRT but I've always heard you need to go to an endo.

some primary care dr. will prescribe HRT but only if they are already well versed in it and have done it before...very hard to find one like this but my old dr. was goin to give me hrt but she got busted selling painkillers and is in jail now lol...too bad for me i guess

Holy shit! Why would a doctor chance selling pain meds. The risk / reward isnt even questionable is it?

the only thing is they will blood test you , if your in the upper or mid range levels you will be waisting your time and money , now there is a way to lower your natural test levels prior to the blood test so you test low, you need to test low or in the lower range of normal, my endo says you can always tell when someone is low on test by the way they look, I mean it could be done but if your all jacked from a recent cycle you will have a harder time,

I'm on HRT via a PCP. I go in about every 4 months and get my script renewed for test cyp and pins. With the insurance, I pay $17 a bottle for 200mg/ml cyp and like $20 for pins....it is a nice padding for my private gear. I was 62ng/dl at my first visit.....timed, of course, 2 weeks after the end of a tren cycle.
