Whats do you guys do in your workout? Do you stick to high reps light weight or low reps heavy weight, I know everyone is different. Im bulking up pretty good doing either here lately but would def like to get more definition that what I have and I know diet has alot to do with it but I have 17 1/2 arms but not much seperation. What are you guys input on this?

I just started doing light weight high reps and moving very slowly on each rep. It has helped a lot, I'm sore every workout just like I was when I first joined the gym. I focus on controlled movements and squeezing each contraction. I love it so far. I'd give that a try or even cut down your reat periods and go extremely light and do quick reps with a lot of supersets. Just find something that you respond well to and give it 8 weeks or so

i do something in between, my heavy days for low reps is over and my joints feel better and i dont think i am missing anything

I'm headed in this direction also. My age and the physical nature of my job has limited my heavy lifting. I do still like heavy dead lifts though, hard to let them go for some reason.

I have trained solo for so long that I had to work around lifting heavy. I love lifting heavy, but it has it's place in my regimen now that I've got partners again

I was just reading something where a guy was doing 1 exercise per body part (typically a compound movement) and did sets in this structure...50/40/30/20/10/20/30/40/50. I wwouldn't know where to begin with weight for a massive workload like that, but that'd be worth trying for a little while just to do something different. I know my bench would probably start at 85 pounds for 50 reps and I'd hate my life afterwards lol

Reps usually between 6-12 on working sets with as heavy weight I can use for that rep range. I also workout alone so I have to be careful about the weight, but I usually know when I can get another rep or not. I'm sure their are times when I could get more if I had a spot, but I dont just trust anybody to do that, so I just deal with it.

mix it up now ..i used to go heavy when i was young all the time..now some days i will go heavy 4-8 range other days i will go 15 reps and up just to get a burn and change i like to do chest monday heavy thursday light..just once a month or maybe twice if im not doing cardio.

I think it's what ever works. I try to do one heavy day then one light day per week per body part. I have to force myself to go light I like the challenge of heavy weight and it makes me feel good mentally. When I say heavy its very subjective. Do what works and always strive for good form to avoid injuries.

i used to do this..but my weight partner would always end up puting weight on and light day just turned in to heavy day again so had to drop it..
thats the only problem with having a partner..i trained for years on my own and love it i can change it up when i want...now i get stuck in a rut some times..so i go on my own 1-2 times a week so i can do my thing..
