Finally squatting again...

I squatted Friday for the first time in a long while and I'm really regretting it right now. I haven't squatted in a few months because I've been working around 50+ hours a week and I do a lot of walking at work so I've kind of slacked on training legs. I only went up to 275 for 8 reps and I'm fucking miserable. I had to work yesterday and it was all I could do to walk without looking like I'd been jailhouse gang raped. I haven't been this sore from legs in years and this is certainly a great reason to never stop training them again lol...

I may be one of the sick bastards that loves to squat and I have actually missed it. Although I had planned on waiting until my schedule calmed down to squat again, I've been seeing guys squat lately and I've been feeling like I'm slacking. Their form has been awful and they all use the little foam pad for the bar when they squat which just makes me laugh. I call it a pussy pad, but maybe if these guys put the bar on their back and not on their vertebrae they might be alright. You can't talk to guys like this though, they know it all

I'm with you buddy. My neck and lower back have been so jacked up that I didn't squat for about 6-8 months. Just started back hitting legs hard again 4 weeks ago...

First leg session had me almost crawling to my truck and the next 2 days were Hell!!! I did look like I'd been gang raped from my walk....lol
Keep hittin em bro

as far as the pad I wish we had the plastic cup instead. BC the bar sits so low on my back bc the way my traps are, it doesnt touch my neck like it does w a lot of people, so it's a pain in the ass

Got to love that totally destroyed feeling Squats will give you. I've been so sore before I just want to sleep for 3 days.

I'm with ya bro...Feel like crawlin everywhere for 2-3 days. Plus, I tend to remain standing a lot at work rather than endure the pain of sitting down and standing back up...lol

Here's what it looks like......LMAO!!!

Big nwv I know exactly what your talking about, I've laid off legs before than destroyed them after a good break and literally can not walk the next day. I mean I've had them sore to the touch.

I always feel like everyone is looking at me funny and try my best to walk regularly then I end up looking ridiculous. I'm still sore, but I tried stretching and flexing them some today and that hurt like hell, but actually helped out. It's crazy how sore your legs get compared to any other body part. I've been sore in all muscles, but they're still functional, but with legs it is totally different

I miss squatting , just put a down payment down on a hack squat and a leg press machine! Cant wait to start squatting myself, but its just gonna be hacks lol.

I love doing barbell hack squats, no one ever knows what the hell I'm doing and that's what makes them even better

What the coolest thing is too- you are probably the only one hitting legs right now...
