DEA combats the Kratom "crisis" Obama style...

As of September 26 Kratom will not only be illegal, but it will be a Schedule 1 drug with the likes of heroine and cocaine! For years the FDA and various special interests have waged a campaign against Kratom across the country. While they have succeeded in a few states such as Tennessee, the majority of their attempts to illegalize this natural product have failed. Likewise, much to the disdain of the FDA, they have no legal standing to impose their will in regards to the substance since it is completely natural. So what to do??? We can't have all of these people getting off of pain pills without the methadone, anti anxiety drugs, and anti depressents through the use of this completely natural product. That's exactly why big pharma supports the FDA. Similiarly there is always some power hungry politician whose sole ambition in life is to get something illegalized so that they can say that they did something while in office other than syphon our tax dollars. I'm totally disgusted. What adds insult to injury is the statement that the DEA is only banning it temporarily while its safety is being evaluated... what the fuck? If that doesnt show how stupid they believe the population to be I don't know what does. Why do I say that?? You can't research a schedule 1 drug. It is ethically wrong. No one will support the research or attach their support. How many research studies have we seen on cocaine, heroine, MDMA?? Literally the last research we saw on those compounds was by Sigmund Freud!!!
If you can't pass legislation through the proper channels I suppose there is always the "executive order" route championed by Obama.
In case anyone is curious the DEA has said that they are able to legally ban a substance for up to 2 years when it is "necessary to avoid an imminent hazard to the public safety"
The DEA also said that "public opinion is unnecessary". Who is this asshat? What are his qualifications?
I'm just disgusted. I want to say something, but I've seen with my own eyes the limits of free speach in this country. We are not all equal.

I tried Kratom for pain. I actually did a lot of research and supposedly got a really good brand and strain. It really didn't do much for me, I did feel the purported effects but the amount you had to take was staggering. I know it is outlawed in Malaysia due to it cutting into the heroine trade. I figure that is what is happening here, they don't want it to cut into the oxy trade. I personally have hated to see what opiates have done to my area.

Ive never tried it, but i know of a ton of people that use kratom so they dont have to use narcotic pain meds. It fucking sickens me to read this is happening. It all totally makes sense thise big pharma fuckers.

This reminds me when you could buy salvia in a smoke shop up until they criminalized that shit too. Fucking scumbags.although salvia was some pretty crazy shit.

When I got hurt all they wanted to do was pump me full of percocet. I was taking 6 percocet at a time 3 times a day. The trick was I wasnt allowed to take them at work LOL! I got hurt AT WORK! They tried to "investigate" me and all kinds of shit before they realized I was far more knowledgeable about drugs and policies than they were. Then I was forced to get the fusion. Again I was pumped full of pain pills. I sunk into a deep depression and decided I needed to stop the pills or check into rehab. The whole time they were trying to force me to come back to work after they directly caused my addiction to pain pills. Kratom was a god send for me. There is alot of trial and error to get the fight dose and combination of strains, but when you do the clouds part and it's amazing. I took on the monumental expense myself and quite literally have taken it almost every day since then. In that time my immune system has become bullet proof. Not so much as a sniffle. The things with Kratom is its like ephedrine. Take too much and you get sick with an upset stomach... and that's alot of putrid powder to get to that point! Then your fine. They cited poison control stats showing 600 calls over 5 years regarding Kratom... the same statistics showed nearly 6,800 calls in 2016 ALONE for those laundry packets!! Not one death or hospitalization for Kratom! We are at a point where our Government does whatever it wants and really doesn't bother to justify it's actions to its people! Look at how many laws Hillary Clinton has broken and she is a presidential candidate! One of 2 choices basically!

Yeah they pumped all the excess stock of percocet in to the Appalachians , almost everyone in those areas are addicted to opiates. Doctors were prescribing it for migraines. After they cut manufacturing and stockpiled the price shot way up and now all the young folk are addicted to heroine because it is cheaper. It is really sad. TV and the internet influence these rural kids that they have bad lives and then they pursue hard drugs or worse it is pushed on them or their parents. I feel the same way about adderall for children. Teenage boys with serious issues, maybe, but little elementary kids on speed? To me that shit is completely insane and if you step back you realize that it is poor greed and evil. Use the poor people up for every dime they are worth and if you can't do it with material things then resort to seriously hard drugs. Lets face it, adderall and percocet are both very hard pharmaceuticals. They can have life changing and permanent effects on the body. I just don't understand it, but I can see their reasons for pushing this shit is greed.

There are a few documentaries out there about it. Which is all fine and good for getting the word out, but in the end folks will have to push that stuff out of their own communities.

Yeah the whole ephedrine ban was pig shit because it was cutting into pharm diet pills...fuckers said it was banned due to meth. Here we are how many years later and there is still the same maybe more amount of meth out there

It's just crazy that people think we live in a Democracy. Special Interests have been trying to ban it for years and couldn't get the legislation to pass through the proper channels... so they find a different agency with no oversight to ban it! And the Head of the DEA comes out and says he doesn't care about public opinion!! Does this asshat not know that he works for The People?! It's just insane! Can you imagine when someone gets arrested and charged for Kratom?! Something that was banned ILLEGALLY?! It just blows my mind. They don't care that they are going to ruin millions of people's quality of life with absolutely no factual basis! There is nothing to support the stance that it is in anyway dangerous. Quite literally more people have died from too much water than from Kratom.
I find it unsettling with the recent attacks on the Second Amendment which specifically addresses threat of a tyrranical oppressive Government. What part of "shall not infringe" is not understood? I guess if they are willing to try to take away the right to bear arms this should really not come as any surprise. How many Government Agencies have been implicated in corrupt practices now? Let's see. We have the President which has explored every Avenue to take away firearms. We have the NSA spying illegally on its citizens. We have the IRS targeting opposing political groups. We have an Attorney General charged with Contempt of Congress. We have the Secretary of State violating more laws than I can even recall. What agency seized and then refused to return over 100k from a private convenience street owner. I won't even touch on the Dept of Homeland Security. What was the Agency involved in that standoff over grazing cattle? These are just on the top of my head. I won't include the Agency that I have sued 6 times... personally.

That is what makes it so sick is that they know it doesn't hurt that it only helps. If they can't synthesize it in a lab and slap a patent and fancy name on it then they don't want to fuck with it, so fuck everyone else. I guess that is why it makes me upset as well, you know that the ones making the decisions either have no clue to what it is they are even banning. Or whats worse is the ones that know exactly what they are doing.

I have been reading a lot about the fed outlawing Kratom soon. Really sucks I was gonna give it a try.
