Supplement Q&A With Mr. Olympia Big Ramy
Things aren’t cheap these days.
Food is getting more expensive, the price of homes is rising, and the overall the cost of living is going way up. The same thing goes with dietary supplements. With so many choices on the market, it is tough to pick which products will benefit you the most. Today we’re sitting down with Mr. Olympia Champ, Big Ramy, to find out which are the most important supplements to take.
With his knowledge and proven track record of success, Big Ramy is certainly one of those bodybuilders we should follow and listen to. With so many supplements out there, having a Mr. Olympia champion guide us in the right direction is priceless.
About Big Ramy
Big Ramy is an Egyptian bodybuilder with a massive physique and accomplished resume, having won last year’s Mr. Olympia contest. His years spent training in Kuwait were documented in the film, Generation Iron 2, and for years he stood on the stage with the best of them. In 2020, he finally topped them, winning the Olympia contest and proving he had what it took to win.
Big Ramy Supplement Q&A
We sat down with Olympia champ Big Ramy to talk supplements. As important tools used by bodybuilders and athletes alike, supplements have the ability to greatly impact our performance and physique into something to be proud of. The right supplement at the right time can boost your gains and ultimately, lead to better health and performance. Let’s dive right into our conversation!
Generation Iron:
Hi Ramy. Thanks for taking the time to talk with us today.
Big Ramy:
My pleasure. Your website is a great source of information and I’m happy to contribute.
Generation Iron:
Let’s jump right into it then! What are your thoughts on dietary supplements as a whole?
Big Ramy:
I think that hard training and proper nutrition should always be the focus, but there are some fundamental supplements that I strongly believe in.
Generation Iron:
What do you consider the most important supplements for bodybuilders?
Big Ramy:
My top 5 would be protein powder, multivitamin, fish oil, creatine and essential amino acids.
Generation Iron:
I noticed you didn’t include pre-workout. Why?
Big Ramy:
I am a big believer in pre-workout. In fact, I actually teamed up with Enhanced Labs to make my own pre-workout called Ramy’s Rage, but I wouldn’t consider pre-workout to be essential. I always tell people to buy the essential supplements first and only buy things like pre-workout if you have some extra money left over.
Generation Iron:
I appreciate the honesty! Are there certain brands you recommend for the 5 fundamental supplements?
Big Ramy:
Absolutely. You get what you pay for. Most protein powders flat out suck. I recommend Enhanced Whey Isolate by Enhanced Labs. It’s a pure whey isolate with added digestive enzymes and zero fillers. I also use the Enhanced Labs EAA+ for my essential amino acids and the Enhanced Labs Super Human Immunity for my multivitamin. I don’t buy anything fancy for the last two. I usually buy my fish oil at Costco and creatine at a local supplement shop.
Generation Iron:
That’s good advice! Do you have any closing remarks before we sign off?
Big Ramy:
Supplements will never replace proper nutrition. That being said, they can help you hit your fitness goals faster! Supplements help cover nutrient gaps, ensuring that your body has what it needs for optimal performance. No matter what your goals are, the right supplements can help improve your health, performance and physique.

Steroid Products Banned by FDA And Where to Find Substitutes
Introduction
Most drugs with adverse side effects banned by regulatory organizations for the same reason. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is a regulatory body that ensures the safety of the foods and drugs we consume. Most of the drugs that have been brought to the FDA’s attention are anabolic steroids that do more harm than good to the user. Apart from health consequences, these drugs have also ruined the careers of athletes such as bodybuilders. The drugs come in many forms, including dietary supplements used to enhance performance and recovery after training.
The FDA recalls drugs it considers harmful to users. Additionally, the companies involved, after doing their investigations recall the drugs, thus helping protect the public from harmful products.
Nevertheless, some unscrupulous manufacturers and suppliers sell these counterfeits, thus prompting the FDA to issue are warning. The regulatory body has also put many such products under their radar and violators face the consequences. In this article, we’re going to look at some steroid products that have been banned by the FDA and their possible substitutes.
Related Article:: When Were Steroids Banned?
Tri-Methyl Xtreme
This steroid product has long been used by bodybuilders to achieve certain fitness goals. However, what many of them don’t know is that this drug is on the FDA’s red list. That means its manufacture, distribution, and use violate the law. The chemical is found in dietary supplements and passes out as an anabolic steroid. Although this is true, its adverse effects on the user’s body distance it from the anabolic steroids we know. Surprisingly, this chemical is potent even when it is taken in small quantities. And that is probably why is difficult to detect other chemicals found in supplements.
The good news is that there are other steroid drugs like Tri-Methyl Xtreme that are completely legal. These drugs achieve the same fitness goals but with less severe side effects. To avoid rubbing shoulders with the FDA, visit our shop for potent anabolic steroids that are friendly to your body.
THG – A Hazardous Steroid Designer
This is probably the most popular steroid drug that was controversially banned by the drug agency. Before its ban in 2003, THG was used as a supplement. However, after laboratory tests, the FDA established that the supplement contained a previously prohibited drug. Consequently, manufacturers and suppliers were ordered to withdraw the drug from the market immediately. Expectedly, the drug remained in the market and continues to be used illegally to date.
Why exactly was the drug banned? Well, it turned out THG had grave health risks. For instance, it was found to affect reproduction in males by causing the shrinking of the testicles. The result of it is reduced sperm count and finally, impotency. Additionally, THG was found to cause feelings of aggression in users. Such feelings do not only lead to violence but also cause depression in the long term. Some users were found to develop liver problems among other health hazards. It is for this reason that the drug agency continues to prohibit the use of the drug and those found going against this directive are either fined or jailed.
MedFit Sarmacuticals
Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs) are manufactured by various pharmaceutical companies globally. However, there are as many fake SARMs products as there are genuine ones. The owner of MedFit SARMs was recently convicted and fined $350,000 for distributing harmful products. Some of the chemicals that were found to be unfit for human consumption include Ligandrol, Testolone, Ostarine, among others.
The FDA’s argument concerning the MedFit issue is that the drugs are new and lack approval for healthy fitness use. It added that drugs outside its oversight are considered new and may pose a risk to users. However, some companies produce the testosterone booster that does not pose serious health risks. To be on the safe side, ensure to buy SARMs products from trusted outlets to avoid consuming illegal drugs unknowingly. You can check out SARMs products from our shop and be assured of a safe product with great testosterone-boosting capabilities.
Accelerated Genetics
This US-based company that sells sports supplements was made to defend its products in a West Virginian district court. The owner was put on the spot for distributing unsafe steroid drugs to the public. Additionally, the company was accused of by-passing the FDA’s safety requirements for the kind of drugs they supply. Accelerated Genetics, like MedFit admitted to producing supplements that contained outlawed substances such as Ligandrol and Ostarine. The products were also found to contain other banned drugs, something that pitted them against the law further.
The drugs mentioned not only cause life-threatening conditions such as liver cancer but also cause death. Additionally, the chemicals have been found to increase heart thumbing significantly thus exposing one to heart failure.
Possible Substitutes to Banned Steroids
As mentioned, these performance-enhancing drugs that banned have substitutes in the market. Although the substitutes do not cause adverse body reactions, some banned in some sports. However, bodybuilders have a little bit of freedom concerning the kind of body enhancers they can use. Some sports are more strict concerning performance enhancement drugs hence the need to steer clear of them if they’ll affect your career. Here are some high potent drugs that are legal and can be used instead of the banned ones.
TestoPrime
It is mostly used to enhance testosterone production levels. The drug consists of natural ingredients that do not have severe health risks. However, you may experience a drop in your sex drive when used for too long. Some people have also reported hair loss but the effects rarely go beyond these. The secret to getting positive results from using TestoPrime is to use it in moderation. Also, avoid using the drug for too long to avoid a negative reaction from your body.
D-Bal
This steroid does not only help you to have lean muscle but it is also legal and completely safe. D-Bal usually use to achieve the same results as Dianabol. The latter is classified as an illegal steroid.
Clenbutrol
If you’re looking to burn fat, this is the drug you should look for. Clenbutrol has received many positive reviews for its efficacy in weight loss without losing muscle. It also helps you to sculpt so you don’t have to worry about hanging skin after your weight-loss journey
Trenorol
This drug is best for cutting, thus serves as the perfect alternative to banned strength-enhancing steroids.
Winsol
Unlike banned substances, this drug improves blood circulation and vascularity in general. Most importantly, Winsol does not cause adverse side effects. So, every time you’re thinking about using a performance-enhancer, with your cardiovascular health in mind, consider getting yourself Winsol.
Anvarol
The drug is good for general fitness. However, it is best for improving strength, thus allowing you to have a power-packed training session. Most importantly, the steroid allows bodybuilders to lose excess fat while retaining their muscle mass.
Conclusion
Anabolic steroids continue to be a controversial topic because of their versatility. Although these drugs help the body attain and even surpass its limit, they also come with nasty side effects. Some are more hazardous than others and that is the category the FDA is trying to keep out of the market. However, it is important to note that some of the steroids that are considered to be legal are not without side effects. All one has to do is to use them appropriately and avoid those drugs their body reacts too violently.
Also, take your time to go through the FDA list of banned substances to avoid getting into trouble with the law. The other option would be to consult your coach and doctor before you start using a particular steroid product. It is likely that they know which drugs are good for you and which ones will harm you. Meanwhile, check out potent anabolic steroids in our shop. Our products are completely safe and are legal.
Chris Bumstead Makes Statement After Olympia Win
Chris Bumstead is once again the king of the Classic Physique division.
After contending with the best of the best in the Classic Physique division, Chris Bumstead once again emerged victorious. It was Bumstead’s third straight Olympia victory and cemented himself as the best in the world.
The event played out pretty similarly to the 2020 Olympia. Chris Bumstead once again took first place at the 2021 show while Terrence Ruffin took second and former champion Breon Ansley ended up in third.
Chris Bumstead worked hard in his preparation and once again wowed the crowd with his incredible physical form. Bumstead demonstrated the class of a true champion. With this third straight victory it’s hard to wonder who has what it takes to challenge Bumstead in the near future.
Gratitude in Victory
Chris Bumstead took to social media to express his excitement and gratitude for winning the 2021 Olympia.
This is the first morning after a show I woke up not in shock, not going “I can’t believe what just happened”…. and it feels damn good.
It’s not because I knew I had the win, I didn’t. I felt like I was fighting tooth and nail this whole prep and I had to show up at my best to stand a chance at defending my title.
Rather it’s because I was fully present yesterday on stage. I remember ever single moment so clearly.
I simply felt at peace.
Now I have these moments as deep rooted memories I will never forget and I’m so grateful for the experience.
I spend a lot of time trying to apply the power of now to my daily life and I’m definitely not the best at it. It’s a constant work in progress, but when you live it and truly experience moments for what they are, nothing compares to that feeling.
Chris Bumstead is once again the king of the division with Terrence Ruffin hot on his heels. It appears that unless Ruffin is able to reach a new level or another contender is able to step up to the plate, Bumstead will be ruling over the division for years to come.

Tyson Fury Knocks Out Deontay Wilder In Trilogy Fight
*(Results below!) Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3: How does each man get the job done in the trilogy match?
The trilogy bout between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder has a great deal of intriguing questions to answer. The easy one is the most obvious, which man will come out on top? The not so easy questions to answer are the intangibles. What strategies will each man use? Can Deontay Wilder land his death blow of a right hand? Has Tyson Fury figured out his former rival completely? Let’s dive into the intangibles to see how each man can get the victory this weekend.
The First Fight
It’s clear that of the two men in the main event, Tyson Fury is the superior boxer. A master of movement, feints, and outside boxing, Fury is able to run circles around his opponents, landing potshots with general ease. His first bout with Wilder however showed a man with a game plan that had mixed results.
Deontay Wilder on the other hand will never be mistaken for a master boxer. But what he does have is devastating punching power that he used to great effect in the first bout.
The match saw Tyson Fury feinting and boxing from the outside, often times planting his feet and playing a counter punching role. This allowed Deontay Wilder to be more aggressive and open up with his heavy punches. During the middle rounds Fury was able to take advantage of the deficiencies in Wilder’s boxing knowledge. When Wilder swung, well, wild, Fury was able to land well placed counter strikes.
But when Tyson Fury gave Deontay Wilder just a little bit of time and space, the former WBC heavyweight champion made him pay with a thunderous two punch combination in the final round. Fury was able to survive and showed his guts, but both men would fight to a draw.
The Second Fight
The second bout featured a far different approach from both men. Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder both put on weight for the second bout. Fury however was far heavier and used it to his advantage.
Tyson Fury switched his game plan from the previous bout and came out with far more aggression. He still feinted, still utilized his jab effectively, but this time he came forward, putting considerable pressure on Deontay Wilder. Fighting on the back foot, Wilder was unable to comfortably set up his powerful right hand. As a result, Fury dominated the fight.
After getting knocked down a number of times and looking worse for wear, Wilder’s corner threw in the towel.
Approach For Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury should aim to keep a similar approach to the second bout. Putting Deontay Wilder on the back foot was a perfect approach. Wilder couldn’t set anything up and when he did throw, his inability to return his hands to guard quickly left him vulnerable to counters. Fury should add a bit of lateral movement and perhaps the step back in between rushes to capitalize on Wilder’s potential counters.
Approach For Deontay Wilder
Deontay Wilder will need to establish a strong jab early in this bout. Targeting the body is paramount as it could potentially stop Fury in his tracks should he choose to come forward. While he hasn’t been known to be a feint heavy striker, Wilder should employ the tactic early and often. Right hands to the body would also be beneficial for the former champion.
Getting Fury to stand in place should be paramount for Wilder. If he can halt Fury’s momentum with a stabbing jab to the body, he can come over the top with his right hand-lead hook combo. That set up will be even more effective if he can consistently land the right to the body first.
Results
Tyson Fury defeated Deontay Wilder by KO in the eleventh round.

Official Olympia 2021 Scorecards
Big Ramy Is The Mr. Olympia 2021 Champion In Repeat Victory
Big Ramy wins the Mr. Olympia 2021.
For a moment there, it seemed like Big Ramy might not retain his Mr. Olympia title. During the Mr. Olympia 2021 prejudging Friday night, Ramy looked off with his conditioning. Fans worst fears were realized – his inconsistent condition was rearing its ugly head again. But just like so many amazing Olympia stories – Ramy sharpened up by Saturday night and reminded us why he’s champion in the first place. It’s no longer a fluke – Big Ramy is the Mr. Olympia 2021 champion.
Mamdouh Elssbiay, more commonly called Big Ramy, had been a fan favorite to win the Mr. Olympia for years now. True to his name, he brings a level of size that is hardly seen by even the top pro bodybuilders currently competing. Due to his massive size, some fans even hoped he would be the second coming of Ronnie Coleman.
Big Ramy represented the pinnacle of a growing bodybuilding Mecca coming out of Kuwait. Though originally from Egypt, Ramy moved to Kuwait to train in Oxygen Gym – a location known for transforming pros into massive titans. Over the years, many pro bodybuilders moved temporarily to Kuwait for a reboot to their training. This included Mr. Olympia 2019 champion Brandon Curry.
But the initial hype behind Big Ramy did not come to fruition immediately. With ever year, Ramy showed bigger and bigger muscle during his prep leading up to the competition. But with each year he would fall short. Most notably, his conditioning was often criticized as the reason he could not bring in an Olympia victory. As of today, that all changed.
Big Ramy’s first Mr. Olympia competition was in 2013. He placed eight just a few notches below the top 6 highlights. But even with the lower placing, he immediately turned heads. His mammoth size was hardly seen in current crop of competitors. It wasn’t long before the hype train build up steam. Fans were clamoring – with time, will he become a powerhouse reigning champion?
Over the following years, Ramy improved in placing with each Olympia competition. This came to a head at the Mr. Olympia 2017 where Big Ramy placed 2nd.
It was at this competition that his promise seemed to turn into a reality. For what seemed like the first time in forever, Phil Heath actually appeared threatened. With his massive size, Big Ramy looked like a real possibility to win standing next to Phil Heath.
The competition was so close that many fans believed that Big Ramy was the rightful winner. Similar to the 2007 Mr. Olympia with Victor Martinez, the competition became controversial for potentially making the wrong call.
With Big Ramy so close to victory in 2017 and Phil Heath appearing to slightly fade – fans were excited more than ever before the Mr. Olympia 2018. Anticipation was in overdrive as fans expected to see an even more improved Big Ramy. With his conditioning issue seemingly under control – victory was just around the corner.
This would not end up being the case. In 2018, Big Ramy dropped down to a disappointing 6th place at the Mr. Olympia. His conditioning was off and he appeared to fade as the competition went on. Fans were so disappointed that Big Ramy himself issued an apology immediately after the event.
Shortly after, Big Ramy quit Oxygen Gym and changed his entire training regimen. Under a new trainer, Neil Yoda Hill, he aimed to take a new approach towards prepping for the Mr. Olympia.
Unfortunately, more bad news was on the horizon as Big Ramy announced in 2019 that he would not compete in the Mr. Olympia. Original reports of injury seemed to be the reason behind his absence – though he initially denied these reports. After a lackluster appearance in 2018, fans were disappointed to see him miss a full year.
Of course, this story ultimately has a happy ending. It seems his year break helped further improve Big Ramy’s physique. Still sporting incredible size and a renewed conditioning – Ramy towered over the competitors at the Mr. Olympia 2020 and finally won the title.
Fast forward to 2021, the question now wasn’t whether Big Ramy will be a champion – but if he can remain a reigning champion. There has been a streak of one off Olympia champions as of late – it started with Shawn Rhoden followed by Brandon Curry. Would Ramy suffer the same fate? We now know the answer is a resounding no. But it wasn’t a straight shot to get there.
When Big Ramy appeared at the Olympia 2020 – it almost seemed obvious that he would be champion. He was so on point and stood out among all other competitors. This year, however, his conditioning seemed off compared to last year. In a top two face off during the prejudging – Brandon Curry was so on point it seemed he could exploit Ramy’s weakness and take the big win.
But a lot can change between the prejudging and the finals. Unlike many competitions throughout the year – Men’s Open have a full day between the two phases. Big Ramy was able to improve his conditioning. Combine that with his massive size and there was no way Brandon Curry could match up. It was a close battle overall. It was electric, exciting, and ultimately a well won victory.
