for using HCG! The damn media puts up a title "Manny Tests Positive," and it makes everyone who reads it assume that he took steroids. He got suspended, but the really stupid thing is that a DOCTOR PRESCRIBED IT TO HIM. I don't see why they would suspend him considering he was using it for a MEDICAL REASON. There should be a rule when they talk about banned substances that if he has to use something for a medical condition, then they can't suspend him. It isn't fair that he should have to forego medical treatment for something just because the treatment drug is on the list of banned substances. This story has me so pissed off, it isn't funny.

its bull shit anyway bro they are on a witch hunt. like i always say guilty until proven inocent. its always funny how the media always does this.makes you wonder what else they write about that has no real fact to it.

The Ridle of Steel

HCG, probably since he was getting off of his summer pro cycle.I dont see why HCG is banned anyway?Steroids have fewer side effects than growth hormone. It sickens me that each generation in sports has it 's issues. It was speed in the 60' s and 70's,In the 90's it was steroids, now in 2009 its HGH.Roids alot better on the Jaw bone, just ask Jay Cutler. These guys are taking the HGH because its harder to detect than roid.I think Manny is a great athelete and baseball player, I still love Roger Clemens too.I love it when you see a 44 year old guy throwing a ball 98 mph or hitting a 98 mph fastball at 42.

Yea that was a dead give away...Im glad more and more guys enter the juice club.

Yeah no shit, i still think that Ken Griffey Jr, is the greatest baseball player in the steroid era...Get him on some HGH when he was with the Mariners the first time and he would be the greatest home run hitter ever, just my opinion.

Its Genetics bro! I think you should photoshop your profile pic and throw some dreads on, that would be sweet...

well my hair is so thick it will turn into an afro if I let it get long enough....maybe I could pull off the dreads!

Well I was watching this on Sportscenter, and if the doctor perscribes you the drug for medical reasons then it is ok, AS LONG as you fill out some type of document specifying why your taking it and so forth, which he didnt do.

Seems to me that would be the doctors responsibility. If i goto the doctor and he checks me out and says "Jshoty, you need Hcg" I say ok....

I hate manny with a passion but this is getting out of hand. and no ken griffey probably wouldnt have been the best home run hitter ever. Just because you run gear doesnt make you a better hitter. Barry bonds was roided out but it doesnt negate the fact that he is just a fantastic homerun hitter. Running gear isnt going to give you that many more homeruns IMO.

Some of the strongest guys out there just can't swing a bat. I mean with technique. Look at pro golfers, I guarantee you we could all line up from this board and most of those dudes that weight a buck sixty can hit the ball farther. I believe Tiger has benefited from gear, lots of folks argue but its my opinion. He was great before he gained so much muscle as well. There are other guys who have used it in golf and baseball but the basic skill set has to be there in your muscle memory.

Well if the doctor is the team physian then yes it would be, but if not then it is not his/her responsibility, hes making millions of dollars every year, and he knows the rules, so he is responsible for telling them.

Putting the bat on the ball is something steroids can never help a player do. That's something a lot of the public and sports writers forget about. I'm sure they can help you hit the ball further, get on top of the ball a tad faster, and help you recover from injuries.....but the player still has to hit the damn ball first.

From what it sounds like Manny would have been ok if he had filled out some paperwork with MLB, saying he was taking HCG. As much as I despise him (loved him when he was with Cleveland), that sucks he is getting penalized for paperwork, especially HCG.
