How many cals do you normally eat a day bro?
whats the diet look like ...
Most of the time, I get just about 3000. Mornings have been particularly rough because my stomach doesn't seem to like to eat and I get nauseous. Morning is a time where I could definitely get more calories in. My typical breakfast can be 1 to 1 1/2 cups of oats and 50g protein shake. (Since I'm hypoglycemic, I don't really worry so much if I get calories on the low end of the glycemic index, btw.) I will normally start to go hypo about an hour or two after that, so I have some carbs that are between simple and complex (like a donut--really). (If it's really bad, it's the tablets or a glucose drink.) It kind of forces me to eat at that point. I could probably add a bit more calories there.
Lately, I've been trying to eat about every 2-3 hours, taking Normal's advice. I should say that I don't eat anywhere as clean as many of you, mainly because my metabolism lets me, even at 41. Lunch can be a large beef sandwich and curly fries at Arby's.

(I'll do that also because I need the carbs sometimes.) I cook dinner so sometimes it will be leftovers like spaghetti with stew meat and sausage or Brazilian stroganoff with mushrooms and stew meat (and that's with rice, not noodles). Those meals will also usually be over 1000 calories for sure. I can still be literally hungry 3 hours later. My next trouble is making myself eat something then, either another protein shake or something else. I'm too much of a workaholic, and it gets put off until I'm about ready to leave work to go home or go to the gym.
Dinner will often be some kind of meat (more often a chicken breast) and veggies and rice. I'll have a small protein shake before bed.
I won't bother listing completely everything I eat because what I really need to do is have a nutritionist help me make a 4000 calorie/day plan and completely revamp what I'm doing. I just need some help because I don't seem to be able to make it happen on my own. Once I'm comfortably eating 4000 cals/day regularly, I should start seeing the gains like I used to see.
