The artical appears to focus on invasive surgical applications, though not entirely. That's why I point to the context. You must take into consideration that nobody claimed that air in veins was purely harmless, only that half a CC was not likely to kill a person. In practice, air in the veins happens every day in many forms, clinical, research, junkies, etc.
My only contention was with the 'blanket statement' you made, that he would have been dead had he hit a vein. It's an absolute statement (what philosophers call a "pure" statement) and it simply doesn't hold. As the another poster mentioned, "as a rule....don't do it"
Finally, again my point about your reasoning comes to light once again. I did not speak about the length of time you've been here, 3-4 weeks, to put you down or claim that I'm better since I've been here longer or whatever you were thinking. I stated that in your short time here I've really struck a nerve with you. I found that to be funny. That someone could develop such hatred for me in just a few weeks. I must be one evil bastard!
