So I got a call today about my sleep study. She said that I have moderate to severe sleep apnea and my oxygen intake drops to 70%. I'm going on the 2nd to get fitted for a mask I like and make sure that the mask alone will fix it. Anyone else in this situation? At first I was excited as I thought I'd be able to sleep an entire night with my wife, but then I wonder how loud the machine is.

I don't know if every machine is the same, but the ones I've seen aren't too loud, but I can literally sleep through a hurricane. Hell, my neighbor's house burnt to the ground one night and I slept through all the fire truck sirens and everything. Woke up the next morning, walked outside to get the paper and was shocked that the house was completely gone except the foundation. That shit kinda scares me in a way

Silk is a pretty light sleeper sometimes, but then again my snoring could be heard by the neighbors.

Dude remember Moody? He had very bad sleep apnea and he has the mask and the whole deal. He said its one of the best things that happened to him. He can sleep throughout the night and has more energy during the day.

If you have sleep apnea I have a feeling you will bless this mask and be a new person.

Dude keep us updated on the CPAP machine and if its helped you. I know people tell me there is a acclimation period where its kinda rough but most say they will never sleep w/o one again. IIRC you can buy a machine that is more quiet than others.

I'm pretty sure I have SA myself. Since I'm self employed I have a bare bones policy that doesn't pay shit. I did find a local store that would sell me a refurbished machine for less than 1K w/ Dr script. I need somehow someway to find funds to get one as SA is serious stuff

I'm kind of excited. It's been so long since I've had a real sound sleep w/o struggling for air.

At what Height/Weight did you begin to really notice the snoring/apnea, or has it always been with you at even a lighter weight.

It's been bad since I can remember. Even in college, my roommate would complain. He slept of the other side of the house. The Dr said that my neck size is essentially strangling me.
