Question guys!, I'm doing 4 ius of human r insulin if I'm correct your body technically does not need 10g of carbs per iu. I started at 8then 6g post work out I would have my protein drink 60g protein creatine glutamine and my karbolyn. Felt great took few sipps before injection then downed it 2hrs later I had my ground turkey 40g carbs.. Now my question is you aren't suppose to have any fats, 2hrs before or after injection.. Next question say I do, 6ius next round can I do that in one injection and if not split it 2 injection would I have to have a protein simple sugar mix or ur regular complex carbs chicken n brown rice or something... Also how long to wait to do the 2nd injection if I can do 6 in one shot I'd be a happy camper just would do 8g carbs per iu n bring like 12oz orange juice just in case Ty for your reply everyone

yes bro people do 6 i.u all at once with out issue. I would also personally stick to 10 grams of carbs per 1 i.u. just to play it safe, ive done insulin myself, and did the humalin r like you are, and I can tell ya you shouldnt eat fats for twice as long as you listed, i know u said 2 hours but you really shouldnt be fucking with the fats even after two hours, I am a natually lean guy and first time i did insulin, it worked great but because i was always so lean i figured i could cheat a little with the fats, and it was a huge mistake!!! I put some fat on for sure, so dont under estimate the insulin brutha, its a beast and it took me 10 times as long to take that little bit of fat off as it did to get on me,lol

i also dont like that "Technically you dont need 10 grams carbs per 1 i.u." You really should keep it at ten, tell someone close to you when your on insulin and always have simple sugars on hand!! Im sure you know all this, or atleast hope so as insulin can and will kill you if your not super meticulous about everything else!

The following chart lists the types of injectable insulin with details about onset (the length of time before insulin reaches the bloodstream and begins to lower blood sugar), peak (the time period when the insulin is the most effective in lowering blood sugar) and duration (how long insulin continues to lower blood sugar). These three factors may vary, depending on your body's response. The final column provides some insight into the "coverage" provided by the different insulin types in relation to mealtime.
Type of Insulin & Brand NamesOnsetPeakDurationRole in Blood Sugar Management
Humalog or lispro15-30 min.30-90 min3-5 hoursRapid-acting insulin covers insulin needs for meals eaten at the same time as the injection. This type of insulin is often used with longer-acting insulin.
