Here are pics taken at the gym yesterday...I was around 230ish in these pics..On friday's im normally at my lightest, because I have gone without carbs all week long...Today (saturday) is my carb up day, so I will gain probably 5-8 pounds and get back up to around 235-240lbs...I will take some post carb up pics later tonight, so you can see if I look better with carbs in me or not...

Let me know what you think...I'll post these pics up for now, and later on post the rest of them...

you almost look ahead of schedule......are you doing a show the week prior....have you decided yet?
 
Im doing a show 2 weeks before Nats...The Ironman show in Chicago on Nov.7th

So, go more into the diet. Your going off carbs for a week. then you have 1 day where you carb up.

when you say no carbs, i assume you mean under like 50 grams??

when you carb up- how many carbs do you allow yourself???

Then is it another week with no carbs???

dude, its been 4 days with no carbs.... IM FING DYING. Its really cut into my workouts, how do you do it???

so, go more into the diet. Your going off carbs for a week. Then you have 1 day where you carb up. Yes, saturdays is a total carb up day...eat 6 meals of around 100-150 or more carbs each meal...eat what you want...if you want ihop eggs and pancakes then get that...if you want burger and fries then get that...nothing is really off limits (not for me anyway..lol)

when you say no carbs, i assume you mean under like 50 grams?? Yes !!! Always under 50 grams sometimes the diet is set up with less than that...

When you carb up- how many carbs do you allow yourself??? There is no limits, that is really up to you...i try to get in around 600-900 grams of carb for the whole day

Are you smelling amonia yet? When I carb deplete I smell amonia realy realy bad. When I would get ready for a show I would go into Ketosis and FUCKING HATED IT! Luckily my body didnt give off the amonia odor otherwise I would have quit and said fuck the shows,lol

I lost my sense of smell after getting hit in the head- no joke. So, id like to tell you, but i cant....lol.

this is todays:

6:00 am 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. (fat=0, cals=80, carbs=5, protein=15)
8:00 my shake with all the stuff in it. (fat=5, cals=340, carbs=21, protein=50)
10:00 norm's lean body meatloaf (fat=17,cals=350, carbs=7, protein= 40)
cup of milk (fat=1, cals=100, carbs=13, protein=8)

12:00 norm's lean body meatloaf (fat=17,cals=350, carbs=7, protein= 40)

6:00 top sirloin steak 6oz.(plain) (fat=12,cals=318, carbs=0, protein=47)
2 cups of milk (fat=2, cals=200,carbs=26,protein=16)
1/2 cup of rice. (white-plain) (fat=0,cals=103,carbs=22,protein=4)



well, its almost 7pm now. Im trying to finish this steak and rice.
im good on the fat and protein
my carbs are right at 100grams
calories are still just above 1800....wtf???


im going to go catabolic if i dont start getting some cals down.
 
Norm you need to get those fats in...around 20-25 per meal....Natty PB, olive oil, red meat, whole eggs, ect

Chris You have really tightened up quick on that diet...makes Me wanna run a keto diet Myself when I am ready to compete again early next yr
