thanks for the info. visions, will do the same, what exactly should i tell my doctor? I didnt fill any difference after two weeks so i bumped it up 50mg's a week? and hope that he perscribes me more?

I am looking at starting my TRT therapy soon. I have insurance, but not sure what it will cover. Those of you that have applied for reimbursement have any comments? I am going through a TRT specialist, which I have found to be very reasonable, although I am not sure what doses he will be prescribing, HOWEVER, - I will have a doctors note and blood work, so I am happy. If you have a choice of test forms, which would you run? I was thinking CYP for a myriad of reasons... BUMP.

You can go with either cyp or ethanate. There really isn't much difference between the two when it comes TRT. Insurance normally will not cover TRT because it is 1) injectable, and 2) it is a controlled substance. The only way for you to get coverage is to have your doctor send a letter/statement to the insurance company that states you have a medical need for it. This is called "prior authorization." These letters are usually good for a year after which you have to renew it. This is the route I took for my TRT, so when I pick up my prescription, it costs me $10 for 1 200g/ml 10 ml vial instead of just over $100 or whatever full price is nowadays.

Yes, it's just a letter that the doctor sends to the insurance company that states you have a medical need for the regular injections of testosterone. You just have to request it.

I was on 300 mg /week for the longest time, but I just had a re-evaluation and I'm now on 200 mg /week.

questions, questions. I have narrowed my choice of doctors to question for trt. One is an endocrinologist, one a DO. ONe is a male, one is a female, but noth are recommended by compounding pharmacies as doctors who work with TRT patients. I don't want to go and find out my levels are high already or not low enough. Any advice on what to ask or what will be asked by doc?
