Without choosing sides in all fairness, at all of these school shootings and massacres that have occured in the last 15 years..how many of those weapons were purchased legally and owned by the people who committed them??
I want to say none. Which goes to show these laws once again make no sense. I stand by the fact that dangerous criminals dont follow laws. They will and already do have access to things made illegal in all aspects so it makes no difference. Agreed with whoever mentioned the drug war. Drugs are illegal, yet our Country is flooded with them. Looks like the laws worked well. I believe it was Venezuela or I forget the country that made all narcotics legal. They immediately saw like a 200% reduction in crime and incarceration. They immediately saw a double in the need for Rehabs and Treatment Centers....to help treat people, many who wanted help. Not like our POS Country who just incarcerates people for disorders. It's no different then locking up an alcoholic with alcoholism. It's a destructive disease that hurts them and the people around them.
Back on topic, In prison, people have pretty much no way to get weapons and they make and produce them. I know a CO who told me a guy nearly killed someone by making a double barrel shotgun out of paper towel rolls...He filled it with metal fragments and used somehow gotten match heads scraped off the powder ignited it and blasted this guy...
Gun Control IMO is pointless unless of course you want to just limit more of our freedoms and then it makes complete sense.
